GARDEN HOUSE — Restaurant in Yokohama

This was my favourite place in all of Japan, honestly. I am Italian, and even if this is not an Italian restaurant, they made such a GOOD pizza. It totally tasted like Italian pizza, and every time I brought a friend to this place to taste the pizza, they LOVED it. But I went today, and they changed the menu. They still have margherita with burrata, but the taste is quite different from before. Like the pizza is still good, but not as good as before. Before you had the whole burrata on top of the pizza (see the photo I put), and you had to open it yourself. Now it's basically as if having margherita with spread mozzarella, and it was too liquid. Before, it was more creamy, and you could taste the tomato sauce (which was super good), but now I could not taste tomato sauce so much. Anyway, other than this, the place is very beautiful, the view is amazing, and even if I always only ate pizza, the menu looks super delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Dinner with a spectacular view over the bay

We had planned to return to Tokyo for dinner, but a local recommended this restaurant. We arrived at the restaurant around 5:30 PM as walk-in customers. We were told that all the tables by the window were reserved. Even though our offer to vacate the table before 6:30 PM, the staff insisted that they were all reserved. So, believing that other customers would arrive shortly, we chose to sit elsewhere.

We ordered the staff-recommended pasta, the featured Mont Blanc, and some Prosecco. The quality was just okay. We were there for the view, so we tried not to be too disappointed about the food.

Perfect place for people who loves enjoying great views while having food. For a better illumination view prefer going when it’s dark. Very good staffs(5/5). Highly recommend the Garden House special Beer on the menu. Contact less orders taken(for people avoiding contacts/conversation during covid). Deducting half stars because I think there is still some room for improvement in the taste and half star because it seemed that the place was understaffed.
