Finding the Landmark Plaza's Sky Garden's entrance, alone, took a great deal of time and investment, including a few mistaken trips to the ground-level hotel and whatnot. Seriously.
That being said, the small price of 1,200-yen to enter the Sky Garden was well worth it, because nowhere else in southern-Tokyo will you be able to capture the wondrous panoramic views of Tokyo Bay, Downtown Yokohama, the nearby Ferris wheel, the rainbow walkway, and more.
Be aware, however, that the ticket to enter the Sky Garden is for one-time admission, and cannot be used again once ticket-holders leave the Sky Garden. I failed to realize this when I attempted to ascend Landmark Plaza at night for another view of Yokohama, but was denied.
While in the Sky Garden, visitors may enjoy the bar, purchase souvenirs, and get a caricature artist to paint a portrait...
Read more100% recommend spending the money to go up here! It's an excellent viewpoint of the area. We went up just before sunset so we had to luck of seeing everything before, during and after, it was beautiful. There's a little cafe up there and a gift shop as well as a coin/medallion collectable machine you can then engrave. On one side of the the viewpoint there are chairs and small tables for the cafe area, the rest of the windows have chairs and dimmed light to minimise spoiling the view. We went up on a Thursday evening and it wasn't too busy. There's also a little area you walk through where they have a map of the area projected onto the floor and as you walk over it, it shows you how what used to be in the area. Above each window is a picture naming the areas and buildings you can see. Make sure you...
Read moreThe two people at the reception were very unpleasant. When we arrived there was no one and they talked to each other regardless of our arrival. Since I've been in Japan, this is the first time I've received such a welcome. And not in a good way. No politeness on their part, (hello, welcome), they looked us up and down and as I was about to ask for a mask because my friend's was broken (something that can happen to anyone), they wouldn't let us in with no explications. They wouldn't lend us one or even even send us to a place where we could have bought one. Impolite from beginning to end, with an insistant look that showed we had to get out of here. It's a shame the view looked very nice in the photo but the reception didn't make us want to come back. What a...
