So fun! Our first time at a Kura and it's completely self serve! From the check-in queue machine to the reception machine to payment are all by machine! All in Japanese but it's fun figuring it out. There seems to be two lines to pick from on the queue machine but we just got numbers for both just in case. Just follow what other people do. They still have staff to help whenever you need. Really cool.
Waited around 15 min for a table. Really good sushi for the price. We are from the US but I eat a lot of sushi. This place is very good quality considering it's $1 for 2 pieces of nigiri. Our kid had a great time announcing that new sushi is arriving on the belt. Then every 5 plates we get a toy as well.
You can just wait for sushi 🍣 to arrive on the common conveyor belt or order. We did both and had fun getting the custom orders to arrive on the upper conveyor belt. They say it's busy and might not be able to custom order but it worked anyway for everything. They always give you the worse case estimation in Japan. Lines are always shorter than they say too.
