MARINE BAKERY — Restaurant in Yokohama

APRIL 2023

Came by before closing and bought two sweet and two savory bakery items. First sweet item was a croissant like pastry with a caramelized layer of nuts at the bottom; sweet and crunchy. Second sweet item was a Portuguese tart with a flaky and crispy pastry; custard was smooth, sweet and not too eggy. For the savory items, the Frankfurt bun was slightly spicy with a snappy bite to the sausage; and the croque monsieur had a twist with a pasty curry bechamel sauce and a layer of baked cheese which was quite reach and creamy. Didn't try any of the delicious looking pastries on offer but judging from the constant stream of take-away customers, I suspect they taste as good as they look. I sat on the small outside terrace. ありそうで、意外と販売されてないクロッカン！ そのクロッカンを探し求め元町に(^o^)

元町・山下・石川町界隈にはパン屋さんが、星の数ほどひしめき合っている状態で、どこの店に行こうか迷ってしまう(^◇^;)

過去の記憶から、結構品数があったように感じたのが、マリンベーカリー‼️

元町・中華街駅から徒歩約3分 青の外観とツタが目印です(^o^) ここだけ、まるで異国感が半端なく、いかりをデザインしたマークとネオン管がなんとも横浜っぽくていいじゃない(^o^)

マリンベーカリーという名前は 横浜に合う名前にしたいと考え 店舗から海や船、マリンタワーが見えるので そこから名づけられたとの情報(^-^)

イートインができ、店内、テラス席があり、ウッドデッキはペット同伴可らしい？ ※必ずお店に確認してくださいね(^o^)

入店しようとした矢先、青いプレートに カモメが入るので閉めてください ‥‥‥いいじゃん٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ カモメと一緒にパン選びしたいなー((o(^∇^)o))

ここの1番人気がエッグタルトらしいのだが、それは次回にして(^^;; あったー‼️❗️ お目当てクロッカン‼️(^o^) イメージより、随分小さいがそれは致し方ないね (^_^;)

クロッカンのみじゃーあまりに寂しいので、クロワッサンも購入(^o^)
