BUL BAR — Restaurant in Almaty

Swanky two-storey rooftop cocktail bar in Almaty’s Golden Square. Great for date night, birthday parties, company events, and evenings with friends. I discovered Bul Bar in August 2024 and was immediately impressed with the selection of non-alcoholic wines. I liked Bul Bar so much that I couldn’t stop coming back—I ended up visiting thrice during a week-long trip to Almaty. Excellent place for foreigners visiting Almaty as there is English-speaking staff with experience abroad, plus the bar attracts many patrons who speak English. The owner used to live in the U.S., speaks English, and is attentive to guests’ needs. The only downside I can think of is the food menu is currently limited to finger food (although this is something they’re apparently working on improving) so better to grab dinner before coming, which shouldn’t be a problem as the bar is open until 3:00 A.M.
