ZIYAFET MEAT HOUSE — Restaurant in Almaty

Ordered a bottle of Prosecco and my date some food and a cocktail. All find until the waiter pointed to my glass of Prosecco and asked if I would like some berries like strawberry or raspberry…..I said ok since any other time a waiter or bartender asked me this is was because they were putting a few berries in my Prosecco…..no he brought out two martini glasses with berries which contained about one small handful of berries each. When the bill came it was 13,980 tenge ( $27) which is absolutely absurd. Needless to say it was my first and last time going to this restaurant and will boycott their whole group of restaurants and stick to ABR group which has much better service and quality of restaurants. I liked the ambience, and also the chef seems to be a master in flavors.

Few concerns about the service:

we had to stand for 5 minutes until the hostess came to show us our table (we had a pre-booking) she wanted to give us a joint table with other customers, although there were free tables. they served us the main dishes first, then the soup later on and finally the appetisers. we had to cancel one of the orders after a while because the waiter notified us it will take minimum 40 minutes to serve

Overall it was a neutral experience with a higher than average price...

If you like meat, this is the best restaurant in Almaty serve delicious steak and they cooked for you as you wish. The waiters here is very fast and helpful, especially (Ivan ) he was very nice and professional in his service thank you Ivan.definitely if I stay in Alamaty I will come back we have ribbon steak it was delicious. The salads was good. The hummus is not that well and the egg planet was good , the horse meat was cooked very well. The best place I eat horse meat here if you want to try horse meat for first time try it in this restaurant you...
