Great location very close to public transport and other amenities. It is in Westlands square opposite the mall.
Service
Personally, I received good service. Good service in restaurants in Kenya is not always guaranteed. You can go to the same place on different days and get very different service.
Ambience
I think most Javas are great for a meeting, a quick meal or coffee, but not necessarily the places where you while away just chatting and catching up. Not intimate enough for a date, not casual enough for a hang out either.
Menu
They have a well balanced menu. You can snack, have a full meal, or a beverage. I used to order their breakfast, but the items reduced in size while the prices went up. The food portions have also reduced in size. Their coffee is okay, but gone are the days of huge cups of coffee. They do have none dairy options at an extra cost.
Their dawa is good and very popular if coffee is not your thing.
Experience
I ordered a blueberry cake and an Americano. It was in the combo section so you get to choose between tea or coffee. If you are on a budget and still want to treat yourself or someone else, this is a great option. For KES400, I think it is a steal. The cake came warm which I really appreciated and I didn't even have to ask for it to be warmed. The Americano was good. Overally, I enjoy my order.
If you are on your own, you can spend anywhere from KES 300 to KES 1500 depending on what you order. I think compared to the other coffee places around, i. e. artcaffe, Java is the cheaper option and the taste and quality of their food doesn't change. You more so know what you are getting.

Great as a meeting spot, a working spot (They have WiFi ) and I think a good breakfast date spot. You can also have a book club meeting here.

Read moreJava House in Westlands Square is a reliable favorite. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. It’s a perfect place to grab a coffee, catch up with friends, or even get some work done — Wi-Fi is decent and there are enough power outlets if you're working remotely.
The service is usually prompt and friendly, and the staff make an effort to check in without being intrusive. Food and drinks are consistently good — their freshly brewed coffee and milkshakes are a go-to for me, and the chicken wrap never disappoints.
The location is also really convenient, especially if you're in the Westlands area. There's decent parking and it's easy to access. Overall, a dependable and pleasant spot I keep...
