✨ Kosewe, Westlands ✨ Met up with my sibling here and from the moment I walked in, I loved the vibe. The decor is simple yet beautiful — big pots with lush plants give it such a refreshing feel. 🌿 Plus, good parking (always a win in Nairobi 😅). The space is roomy with different seating spots, and I have to say — those high chairs are surprisingly comfortable! 🙌 The whole setup feels well thought out and welcoming, with a mature crowd and just the right atmosphere for long conversations. This time we only enjoyed our drinks 🍹 (food is definitely for next time), but I loved the place so much that I’d go back with a bigger group — perfect for board games, card games, and just good company. 💛

We ordered food from here to-go so I can't comment on the atmosphere. But this is the first place I ever tried wet fried fish AND ugali! How very exciting! I'm happy to say that I really enjoyed the fish and the ugali together. Obviously I'm no expert but I liked the texture and the taste of the ugali. It didn't taste like much but the addition of the fish and sauce was really very delicious and the combo went perfectly. The cabbage and greens were also a nice side. And their sugar cane juice is sweet and refreshing!

Excellent for authentic western Kenya food. They have a BOGOF offer on Sundays for fish! A little undiscovered gem. Great for middle-older aged folk :). If you’re looking for a restaurant vibe you probably won’t find it here! Lots of quiet outdoor and indoor space. The restaurant was a home/house that was converted into a restaurant, so you get a lot of that ‘homey vibe’.. have an open mind and expect the best food out of western Kenya. African tea is excellent!!

Visited on 21st July 2025 and received horrible service. I ordered fish fingers which I’ve done before so I know the taste. Not all were fresh and I broke two pieces to show the wait staff they were not fresh and needed replacing. A waiter was sent to basically tell me they will not replace and they will charge me because for them the food is fresh. I would have been okay if they apologized or just took the feedback but the rude waiter made me escalate and call for Management. A lady by the name Stacy came and introduced herself as a director. She didn’t ask anything, just said the fish fingers were fresh because her daughter also ate them. At this point I asked her what her objective was when coming because clearly it was not to address a customer complaint. All this to say, good food cannot outlive bad service. I hope the owner helps her staff become more customer centric because we definitely want to support such businesses but not at the expense of rude staff.

I must mention though that our initial waitress Sharon was very kind and considerate about the whole issue. She served...

This place is somehow hidden but when you get in there the experience is top notch. They serve amazing vegetables especially the traditional managu with milk. Their coconut Tilapia fish will leave you licking your fingers. It is a quiet place with a qood environment. You can have your meals outside as well. Customer care is great. I like the fact that they are following covid 19 rules. Each table is sanitized before settling down, sanitization and temperature checks done at the gate. For those that normally complain about ugali sizes is hotels and restaurants, this place won't dissapoint you with that. Also carry enough cash, your money will definitely be worth it at the end of the day. For those who cannot pay cash in hand, mpesa services are available, there is also enough parking space and grass where you can lie down incase you don't wanna sit on...

The food was good, but the service wasn’t great. 1. Our server forgot to bring us certain parts of our meal unless we asked about it. 2. They charge a different price than what the menu says for certain foods (like the fish choma), won’t let you know until the bill comes, and be rude when you inquire about it. It’s understandable that certain foods are market price but they should make you aware before you order and generally not be rude. 3. Their google storefront says they close at 3 am when they actually close at 10 pm, so be mindful of when you show up since the food takes a while to arrive. We didn’t know this when we arrived and the server was being petty about us leaving despite the food only having arrived 20 minutes before they close and not offering takeaway. Overall I would’ve gone back if the service was better, but it left a poor taste...
