Where do I even begin? From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, it was a downhill spiral. Despite having a reservation, the waitstaff seemed clueless and indifferent, blaming their colleague for mishandling it. Despite the place being completely empty, they claimed to have just one table available, although we spent there 1,5h and only two tables came in, and begrudgingly seated us next to the only other occupied table (where friends of one of waiters were seating, I know that, since they were loudly talking and cussing for 15 minutes) When we politely requested a different table and emphasized our limited time, we were met with dismissive excuses.

The service continued to plummet as they brought out all our wine pairings simultaneously, ignoring our specific requests. Imagine seating with white and red wines at the same time per person. Our main dishes arrived haphazardly, with my fish growing cold as it waited for the rest of the appetizers. And don't get me started on the flavorless food – a real disappointment.

Despite the chaos, I must commend one bright spot amidst the mess: a girl on the waitstaff who was genuinely nice and tried her best to assist us with anything we needed. It's a shame her efforts were overshadowed by the overall incompetence and lack of care exhibited by the rest of the team.

But the pinnacle of incompetence was when we ordered fries, only to watch them languish on the bar while the staff indulged in a meeting. When questioned, they feigned ignorance, despite the fries being in plain sight.

To top it all off, the owner was seen vaping inside the restaurant, demonstrating a blatant disregard for basic etiquette.

In short, this establishment reeks of mismanagement and apathy towards its clients. Save yourself the headache and dine elsewhere – this was undoubtedly one of the most dismal dining experiences I've...

Quite a dissapointing experience, considering that food was super lovely and service was actually attentive in some places. The disappointment is coming from even before we entered the restaurant. We have booked the table a week in advance for 7 people, got the confirmation email and had some people travelling from afar as well. On the day of our reservation we received a call 3 hours prior to our booking, saying that they had a problem with the system and they can either cancel our reservation or we can have a table for 5 people instead. Bare in mind, its a Saturday evening, not really sure where they wanted me to put those 2 extra people but anyway... Obviously we had to go with the 5 persons table option as we didn't have a choice and had to deal with it on the spot. When few of us came in we explained the situation and they offered us a table on their terrace, literally put an extra table with some chairs that we have been waiting for some time to make 7 seater. We were waiting to be served for good amount of time as we thought that they have forgotten about us. Only received 2 menus at first, had to ask for extra menus and blankets. The girl who served us was lovely and the food was fabulous. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be coming back as I didn't appreciate this whole miscommunication on your part, no apology, and the table that has been given to us at the end. So many other places in Riga that would have the same food standard but with...

I never write reviews, but I really felt like I needed to this time.

Came here with some friends to celebrate a birthday, and honestly.. what a letdown.

The service was just not it. The wine we initially ordered wasn’t available, so the waiter offered a similar one ”for the same price”. But surprise, it was 10euros more once the bill arrived. Secondly we ordered green olives and got a random assortment of mostly black olives. When we asked the waiter about it he said ”that’s the GREEN olives”. Sure. And of course, it would later be revealed on the bill that it was indeed not the GREEN olives after all.

We ordered 8 dishes to share, only 5 arrived, and one of them we didn’t even order. No apology, no nothing when we brought it up with the waiter.

And the cherry on top? A female staff member came over to our table asking us all to leave a good review about how amazing the food and service were. So.. here’s the honest one instead:)

The food and vibe were actually nice, which makes all of this even more frustrating. But with service like this, sadly would...

If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be deliberately ignored by a waiter - this is the place for you! My husband and I came in for a bottle of wine and a nice dinner. We sat down, got the menu… and then spent the next 20 minutes sitting in glorious solitude. A group of people came in after us, sat right next to our table, and guess what? The waiter went straight to them and took their order. We walked up to the bar to ask if we were actually going to get a chance to order. Tried to wave down the waiter as he passed right near us, but he gave us the ol’ “you’re-invisible” treatment. Before finally leaving, I asked the girl at the counter if there was any reason why we were being completely ignored? She said they’d asked the waiter THREE times to serve our table, and he just… didn’t feel like it (???) Shoutout to Markus the waiter - may your next dinner be just as unforgettable as ours. Karma’s got your table booked 🍷

First time at Vīna Studija Splendid, and I was genuinely impressed—everything from the atmosphere to the food was impeccable. But what truly elevated the entire experience was Alina. She wasn’t just a server; she was our guide through a world of flavors, passion, and hospitality. Her recommendations were spot on—every dish was a delight, perfectly paired with carefully selected wines. From starters to dessert, every bite reflected attention to detail and culinary finesse. Alina’s deep knowledge and warm personality turned a simple dinner into something unforgettable. This wasn’t just a meal. It was a moment. If you’re visiting, ask for Alina. Trust her suggestions. You’ll leave full—not just with food, but with joy.
