The only place we went for the last few years when in Klaipeda, but every time service gets worse, yesterday was just awful. We picked an area outside and waited for a good 20 min for the waiter to come. Asked three times when someone would serve us. The waitress had an unhappy face, constantly interrupting the order with the words “Wait”, never asking what else we wanted, and didn’t even start with things like “What drinks would you like?” I had never seen anyone doing the job with so little effort. It was three burgers and two cheese ball starters, as simple as it can be, but it still got a mix-up; the wrong sauces and sides came out, and never mind, I saw my cheese balls walking around the restaurant a few times as they didn’t know who ordered, and even burgers were sitting too long, as manager had to take them out and look for the table. Whenever you try to get attention, all you see is their faces turned away from customers. Awful service, sad for the place as the location and food are good. On top, the music was usual at the start; then it got extremely loud, and other tables started to move away, but there was nowhere to move to be honest, and no staff noticed it was too loud. So please look at staff management. It’s not the first time, but this time, I had to leave this bad review as I would fire the girl 100%. I wanted to get up and complain; I wouldn’t say I like it when someone serves me with the face as I am begging...
Read moreHaving tried several different burgers at Gaisrinė Restobaras in Klaipėda, I must say that the experience has been disappointing. As a burger connoisseur, I know that a truly great burger is a balance of textures and flavors, where every component plays its role in creating a harmonious bite. However, the biggest letdown here is the sauce—arguably the most crucial element in any dish, and in this case, a complete disaster.
The sauce tastes like the cheapest store-bought version—the kind that ruins a dish rather than enhancing it. Instead of enriching the burger’s flavor, it flattens it, leaving an unpleasant and artificial aftertaste. It feels as though the chef simply squeezed something mediocre out of a bottle without any thought for flavor balance.
Of course, taste is subjective, but there are fundamental principles in cooking that should never be ignored. Flavor pairings exist for a reason, and a chef’s responsibility is to ensure that every bite is well-balanced and enjoyable. A great burger should leave you craving another, not questioning the choices made in the kitchen.
Unless the sauce recipe is reconsidered, it’s hard to recommend this place as a go-to...
Read moreGreat Dining Experience by the Danė River
I recently dined at the restaurant next to the Danė River and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was lovely, with tasteful decor and a charming outdoor terrace overlooking the river. The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff. The highlight of the meal was definitely the delicious burger and soup, both of which were expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. I also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of complimentary popcorn, which added a nice touch to the dining experience. I would advise future diners to make reservations in advance, especially for weekend evenings, as the restaurant tends to fill up quickly. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience...
