DOCK craft beer and burgers — Restaurant in Klaipėda

When my wife and I were arriving via bus this morning to Klaipēda, our first mission was to find a quick bite to eat while waiting for our Airbnb to open.

My wife happened to stumble across Dock on Google maps. We saw poutine on the menu and didn't have to question if this was the place or not.

Though the poutine wasn't 100% accurate to traditional Canadian poutine in presentation, it was absolutely spot on in taste. Braised beef/pot roast, melted cheddar and super crispy fries.

HOUSE MADE potato chips that had all the crunch of store bought but with so much more flavor.

The spicy burger was actually proper spicy and super tasty.

Chicken burger was flavorful and different from most chicken burgers we have back in Rīga.

And Lagunitas IPA on draft.

Our waiter was super cool and passed the vibe check. Got our jokes and was very helpful.

Burgers are really good, although a bit pricey for their size and no side dishes. The meat is definitely of high quality, everything is fresh. The side dishes were unimpressive, original, but unimpressive. Frankly the cheese balls were disgusting, the cheese fat separated, made the whole thing very unpleasant. The homemade potato chips we’re good only where they were prepared correctly. One portion was put into cold oil, which made half of the chips soft and oily, the second portion was ok though. Waiting time for takeout was far too long. The Greek sauce was good, the others not so much. So 5 stars for burgers and the chips, 3 stars for the side dishes and service, 4 in total. I appreciate the effort and originality, yet execution underperformed, maybe they were swamped after the quarantine, maybe a new chef. Really hope they...

Amazing burgers and drinks ✌🏼

We’ve had the beetroot burger and the double burger (medium-rare) as well as Paloma, Berry Sour, Breakfast Martini, and homemade lemonade.

As for the burgers: DELICIOUS The meat was indeed medium-rare and the size of the burger was perfect.

The beetroot burger patty also contains cheese, which makes it juicy. Portion size also suitable.

Homemade potato chips with rosemary salt is also a clear “yessss”.

As for the drinks: the folks here know what they’re doing when it comes to mixing drinks. Instead of just throwing the ingredients together, they really do mix the drinks in perfect order, which makes them excellent. Yes, they are more on the pricey side, but compared to what other restaurants charge you, the prices here are adequate. Very skilled and friendly staff.

Can’t recommend it...
