Faksas — Restaurant in Klaipėda

This was beyond bad. The bar quality is non existant. I asked for a whiskey sour and some other whiskey cocktail (there was nothing else on the menu which is very weird for a bar, but ok I love when bartenders improvise). I was told they can mix me whiskey with coke or apple juice. Really - what?? Bartendinding skills 3000. For whiskey sour, I got a glass of ice and juice, check the picture. Egg white? The bartenders obviously never heard of it.

After a couple of drinks I naturally wanted to use the toilet. Which was... closed! The bartenders explained they called the services but it didn't help me at that very moment as the "cocktail" asked to be released RIGHT NOW. I tried to talk to the staff saying that it's not ok to sell alcohol to people while the toilet is not working. There are solutions to be found, e.g. Talk to your neighbor bars, maybe they can take your guests in while you're waiting for the toilets to be fixed. Or at least, mark it on the front door "WC closed, sorry guys, drunk mindfully" so people don't find themselves in trouble after they already had a few beers. Bartenders answered me rude and the security guard had the well known cocky attitude, because he feels he's a boss. Cocktails - non existant. Half of the alcohol listed in the menu is missing. Customer service - bad. My personal experience - somewhat comic. Do...

Very disappointed about the management at this place. I left a review 2 years ago, detailing how security acted inappropriately in response to me being groped by a stranger, who when confronted - became increasingly aggressive towards me and my friends. Bouncer spoke to him and in front of us gave him a fist bump. This man was allowed to stay and his behaviour was enabled.

It’s only now that I reviewed my account and can see they had reported my comment in order to maintain their image instead of addressing the real issue: their security and lack of care for the safety of their women customers. I decided to repost my review as the current 4+ rating does not reflect the fact that your safety isn’t their priority, good rating is.

I absolutely love this bar. Having had grown up in the states around what is now referred to as "classic rock" :-/ its great to find a place here where I get that reminiscing feeling... and of course belt out a tune aling with after the appropriate amount of inhibition lubrication :) Wait staff has always been great there as well with wait staff working quite hard so your never waiting to long. Honestly if you are ever going to visit klaipeda and enjoy an evening of good ol rock n roll and a pint or three don't miss Faksas as you'll be hard pressed to find another place of equal stature. Also a nice place to visit for a quite bite to eat and chat earlier in the day before evening crowds gather, after all you could use a break after strolling by the adjacent riverside and other old town...
