BONA Pizzeria — Restaurant in Trakai

Ordered one stronger coffee with milk and another with almond milk take away.

Waited for the order ~10 min and then asked the waitress at the bar for an update. Espresso machine wasn't even used, the employees forgot about the order.

~5 min later the youngest junior employee brought me a double espresso without milk. I politely asked again the waitress at the bar whether this is how they make coffee with milk. The waitress then asked a different employee to make the order.

Another 5 min later the waitress comes out of a different room with our ordered coffees, but bizarrely without using the Espresso machine at the main bar(perhaps there's a different one back, but questionable). I didn't ask whether one coffee was made stronger since it already took too long.

There were 4-5 waiting staff in total with less than a half filled restaraunt and short queue for take away. At least 2 employees were regularly idling or shuffling aimlessly while my order was forgotten and later incorrectly fulfilled as well as tables inside and outside piling with dirty dishes from multiple tables.

The staff in general was polite and well mannered so at least there's that, but service was too incompetent, disorganised and unproductive.

While ordering I've noticed that both the steamer was very dirty with burned milk and the waitress using the machine was poorly tampering the espresso without appropriate pressure and without consideration for leveling of the coffee or it spilling out and not cleaning the steamer in between use. Poor work ethic, incompetence and lack of concern for coffee preparation is expected and a regular sight in non specialised low to mid range restaraunts, but the absolute absence concerning hygiene is very unpleasant and made me regret ordering the coffee.

The management and staff need to both improve in monitoring the restaraunt and delivering better service. I will not be visiting this establishment in the future which is a shame since the location and interior are really good, but without better staff I know that the visit will be regrettable.

I payed for the coffee ~7.4 EUR, but the service was...

the location is the only plus: you can est facing the castle. and the lake. sunday dinner: half of the menu was not available “because we have had a lot of customers today”, not really acceptable.. but that’s how it was. the service not really at any level: the girl who takes the orders, brought the beverages ( cola and a water for 2 pax ) with only one glass ( the one who have choosen the water have to drink it from the bottle) the fist part of the order arrived ( local kind of dumpling ) with no cutlery on the table so only possible to eat it with hands; when the pizza arrived still no cutlery, so when the request has been made to the girl who takes the orders, she said yes bit she didn’t give us the cutlery but was keeping taking orders instead; after 5 minutes we asked to another waitress and she promptly reacted ti the the request. Pizza nothing speciall at all. Asked for the check to the same lady … and guess what, she said “cash or card “ and she kept doing other stuff and still not coming ( in the meantime i am writing this 😂) so basically if u have no other choices.. it’s ok, but if u can choose i...

so I’m just after eating in this place and I’ll be brutally honest, I went with my dad for fathers day by the irish calendar, we smelled shashlik and bbq meat when we came we were waiting for like 5 mins and after we got it we had to wait 20 mins to order our food, there was many salads and just little choice and no steaks or anything like that which was upsetting, another 20 mins of wait for our drinks to come which is so disappointing, then another half an hour for the actual food and while one person got served and ate the other person would still be waiting for theirs, overall the service today was really really slow even though there’s no celebrations, also the food wasn’t great at all compared to other places in trakai especially for the price you pay.. I ordered a well done angus beef burger which was super dry, and my dad ordered bread sticks with cheese and a prawn caesar salad, the salad wasn’t bad compared to the burger, the drinks were really expensive too, but overall I really wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you want to spend your day waiting and overpaying for food...
