It was one of the best restaurants in Trakai. My family visited it every time once we had been coming to Trakai. However, the situation occured during dinner highly disappointed me. It was the dinner with my friend from abroad. The waitress spilled out some soft drink on my brand coat. After that, she delivered some napkins to dry out the coat, but traces were left. At the end of our dinner we've got the bill, and I asked for a discount of 20 eur for cleaning service. Instead of this the waitress called a lady, who didn't introduce herself, but possibly she was a manager. She asked in an angry tone why do I need a discount of 20 % (?). After explanation it became clear why, but the worst thing is that the waitress said to the manager that I spilled out some soft drink on my coat, not the waitress. Do you really think that falsehood can help you in the future? Anyway, Lithuanians' still has some tail from previous time and this situation showed that much more time is needed to become honest. The discount of around 5 eur...
Read moreAptarnavimas buvo BAISUS. Tiesiog BAISUS.
The service was TERRIBLE. Absolutely TERRIBLE. I never write bad reviews, but here I had to so other people wouldn’t ruin their day the way we did because of how the waitress allow herself to behave like I have never seen before. On August 13th, we came with 9 people and asked for a table. Three big tables were reserved. The blonde waitress told that 2 big tables are unavailable, but since we stopped by for a quick visit, she allowed us to sit by one of them. Instantly one short brunette ran out from the inside and started yelling that it is unavailable. I responded that her colleague allowed us to sot there and she ran back inside. A minute had passed and that same inadequate waitress ran out and started talking to such with such an attitude it was disgusting. I also work in the costumer service job, similar to this, I know what it’s like to work when it’s really hot outside, when there’s a lot of people so I really tried to be understanding. But this young woman is extremely without manners, has no idea how to talk to the clients and was extremely rude. Other waitresses appeared nicer so it was our misfortune that we had to cross that one. If you don’t want to risk your day being ruined by inadequate waitresses, I would highly suggest visiting another restaurant nearby called “Markizas”, it has way more friendly...
Read moreTrakai is well known for Kibinai, which was brought to Lithuania by Karaims. As we were visiting Trakai, we had to have Kibinai for our lunch! This restaurant is quite small for out of the season, but they have many outdoor seating for the summer! All food is freshly made so please be prepared to wait. Kibinai is like a starter so it arrives quickly. Kibinai was great. we tried some other dishes which comes in a pots, long waiting for them but very delicious! Traditional Karaims pies are not so great like I imagined, basically just a meat in a pastry (not big differences from Kibinai). The menu says its served with lettuce, pickles etc, but it’s comes just with 1 big lettuces leave which is looking like decoration and not as a side. I wouldn’t order it again. The menu has many options of various meat and dishes for vegetarians. Definitely I can recommend this...
