Just ate Paella at La Paella with my lithuanian friends and family. We ordert 4x Paella with shrimps and fish. At first it looked nice and deliciuos. We started eating but somehow we realized it is oversalted. Things happen, we thought and went to the desk to tell the chef. They tried the rest of the pan (you useally make paella for many people in a big pan) and they approved by themself that it's really too salty. We agreed on 4 other little cheaper meals they woul bring us. So far ok. As the salty paellas still stand on our tables, and we were hungry and the fish and shrimps were ok, while waiting we ate at least that. Now the weered thing happend: the waitress came and saw the half aten paellaes and she decided to humilate us. She said: maybe it is enough that i bring you two portions... we were really shocked. They should be thankfull that we tell them they sell salted paella to lots of people. Instead of that they were thinking how to save money and make us uncomfortable. We decide they can keep all of their meals and we left. For us and our friends in vilnius its clear not eat again there. we of course will tell all our friends in vilnius this story. For me its not understandable why to humilate guests instead of making them happy. Customers pay the bills of every of your employe. You...
Read moreIt is very strange to read some negative comments, probably some competitors and their staff write that on purpose, I cannot think for any other reason… I ate paella more than 100 times in traditional places in Spain and I can say that these guys make it a proper one here even though it’s difficult to find some fresh ingredients. The rice which they use are also the highest quality (bomba), 1kg costs at least 5 eur. Maybe you are used to paella for tourists where it’s nothing similar to a real one, that’s why you give 1 or 2 starts. But if you want to enjoy Spanish traditional food while being in Lithuania, then definitely it’s a place to visit. Not only for paella, but also for coca, octopus, croquettes and other thing. Love to come back here every time! 🙂 100% quality...
Read moreWe ordered paella. What we got was not it. First of all, you can not call a dish paella if there is no socarrat (crust on the bottom). It is what makes a dish paella. The most important part. What we got was rice stew with fish and seafood. "Paella" was insanely bland, lacked in flavour and spice, even salt. The fish was not seasoned, calamari hard and rubber like (overcooked), mussels had dirt on them (not washed good), one piece of fish had a piece of bone in it. Overall - very very bad. Absolutely worst paella in my life. Also when we told that paella was bad - the staff had attitude about it. Do not recommend and will not...
