I recently had the pleasure of dining at the charming restaurant in Užupis, Vilnius Le Mans, and it was an exceptional experience. The atmosphere exudes coziness, creating a welcoming and intimate setting.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the food. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the chef’s culinary prowess. The tuna tartare was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the freshness of the ingredients. The avocado tartare offered a delightful twist, and the octopus was tender and expertly prepared.
Moving on to the main courses, both the fish and duck breast were nothing short of spectacular. The fish was cooked to perfection, with a delightful blend of textures and flavors. The duck breast, a personal favorite, was succulent and paired harmoniously with its accompaniments.
A special mention goes to the extraordinary service provided by the staff, particularly an incredibly nice gentleman. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor enhanced the overall dining experience. From recommendations to ensuring our comfort, his professionalism and warmth were truly noteworthy.
Overall, my dining experience at this restaurant was a culinary journey that exceeded expectations. From the cozy ambiance to the exquisite dishes, and the outstanding service, each element contributed to a memorable evening. Highly recommended for those seeking a blend of comfort and gastronomic delight in the...
Read moreWe would like to sincerely thank La Mans for an incredible evening that truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived until the very end, we felt like we were visiting close friends. We were seated at a cozy table, and our waiter was not only friendly but also remarkably attentive. The food was outstanding—hot and delicious—which may seem like a given, but unfortunately, that isn’t always the case.
In comparison, our experience at Telegrafas wasn’t as enjoyable. Despite the restaurant’s reputation, the hot dishes we received were barely warm, which immediately affected our impression of the dinner. This level of service was disappointing, especially when compared to the entirely opposite experience at La Mans.
One aspect we particularly appreciated at La Mans was the lack of any time restrictions. We were so immersed in conversation with friends that we didn’t even notice the restaurant had technically closed while we were still sitting there. No one from the staff approached to ask us to leave, nor did we feel in any way rushed. This level of respect for guests and the ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere while maintaining high standards is truly rare. It’s a level of service we often encounter at fine restaurants abroad, but sadly, we don’t see enough of it in Lithuania. Thank you to the La Mans team for an evening we will...
Read moreLocation is great, restaurant brand new with lots of potential and would be amazing place to return, if not several "buts": very bright lights for the evening dining -staff was very inexperienced which was a shame (at least waiter was honest, that he started just 2weeks ago)- no knowledge at all about the wines on the list, took ages to remove empty starter plates, 1h later one of us was still waiting for a drink and only then we were told it was sold out. -was very strange to hear from the waiter: -don't get our steak-you can do it very similarly at home...it's nothing special at our place -two of our starters were forgotten, one came after mains (with apologies and promise not to charge for it). -place was half empty but dirty dishes were left for the rest of the evening on the nearby tables -and surprise surprise - bill came with 2 forgotten starters included (after mentioning this mistake we were still charged for the starter which came late). For the price one would definitely expect more. Dishes were nice (tartars are amazing, same as deserts), mains were not very hot, and yes, steak was not impressive at all. Portions on the larger size. Sorry not...
