We had a very disappointing experience at the Subway located inside Vilnius CUP on May 29th, between 6–8 PM. At the time, there were two young women working behind the counter.
We ordered 3 sandwiches and wanted to make one of them a menu with a drink and waffle fries. From the beginning, the service was extremely slow and uncomfortable. The staff member who served us seemed either unwilling or unable to speak English—which is surprising for a fast-food chain in such a central, touristic location surrounded by offices, hotels, and restaurants.
Her attitude was the most troubling part. She was cold, rude, and visibly irritated. We didn’t want the same bread for all three sandwiches, but rather than listening to the full order (e.g., “First with X, second with Y, third with Z”), she insisted on taking each sandwich separately. We explained the first, she made it without letting us finish, then asked again for the second, and so on. This caused unnecessary delays and confusion.
She only began preparing the third sandwich after she had already added cheese and toasted the first two. By the time she cut the third and started adding ingredients, the other two had already started to cool down. Every time we requested a topping—like tomatoes or sauces—her reactions made us feel deeply uncomfortable, as if we were doing something wrong just by placing a normal order. Even asking for "honey mustard," which was clearly labeled in English, became a hassle because she didn’t recognize the name and I had to point it out myself.
When we said we’d like to upgrade one of the sandwiches to a menu, she looked at us with frustration and let out a loud, annoyed “ugh” — very blunt and almost aggressive, as if we were bothering her simply by ordering. That moment was honestly the final straw — we completely lost our appetite.
We were polite and spoke in clear English the entire time. This was not just poor service—it felt humiliating. We walked away feeling upset, unwelcome, and honestly shocked. It was supposed to be a pleasant meal, but instead, it ruined our mood for the rest of the evening.
I never thought I’d feel the need to leave a negative review at a Subway, but this experience left me with no choice. I would never choose to return to this location again. We sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and speaks with the staff—especially the two young women working that evening—about how to treat customers with even the most basic level of respect and courtesy. Subway is a global brand, and this level of service is...
Read moreThe service varies. The staff can either not care about your existence at all, or be ecstatic and helpful regarding sandwich choices. The food is bound to give you an upset stomach or even diarrhoea. I don't know what the cause is, so this question is up to speculation without further information. Improper sanitation of equipment? (I've noticed workers using the same gloves frequently). Worker's highene? (The upset stomach depends on the workers as I have noticed). The atmosphere is quite basic. Nothing much in contrast to other Subway locations. Basic fast food dine-in and dine-out layout that suits all needs. However, the tables need cleaning. (They are usually covered in bread crumbs, sauces and an array of food Ingridients. I have noticed that this also heavily depends on the staff...

I choose sheet bread the bread doesnt look anything like in the picture. They quickly threw my order together and placed a cup on the table and went to talk with his friend. While I didn't expect much I thought at least he would fill up the cup or explain that I should do it. once I asked if the order came with a drink only then I was informed that I need to fill it up myself. The sandwich was soggy and the...
