Service superb, rest was a big disaster, disgusting and probably even dangerous to eat.
We went to this place because of the great reviews and our previous experience from a similar place in Kaunas and we were looking forward to have a nice meal. Unfortunately, everything was horrendous - except the service.
The service is good. Friendly staff and very helpful.
Drinks: The Limonade was way too sweet so I asked to fill it with a little bit more water and afterwards it was delicious. Simple mistakes like that do happen and it is not a problem.
However, now the disaster begins:
Food. We have orderd the 400g beef burger and some pork BBQ rips with french and curly fries. Both, the curly and the french fries were just slightly warm! That's not okay. The burger was cold as well but at least super tasty.
We got some new fries after our first complained. A plus for the service.
The worst part were the BBQ rips. That was not acceptable and I would not consider that as eatable at all. The rips were cold. Not even a bit warm on the outside. The smell of prok was super strong even tho it was covered in BBQ Sause and that is a really bad sign and it usually means the meet is not fresh at all or just about to go off. We asked the staff to bring it to the chef. After that we got some hot rips back to our table. So far so good but the shock hit us a few seconds later when we realised, that the rips were the same as before just heated up in the MICROWAVE. Sorry that is not acceptable, especially not for these prices. A microwave is an item that should be banned in every kitchen. And now a quiz: what happens if you microwave PORK BBQ MEAT? It becomes disgusting - simply not eatable anymore and every chef should know that. That is basic knowledge. Serving already dreadful and probably not fresh cold rips and then heating them up in a microwave is such a disgusting thing, that I am not able to proper fitting words to discribe this.
That's an absolute no go and not acceptable for any public restaurants.
Honestly. A shame on the so...
Read moreFirstly, we had to wait outside, tho there were plenty places free. Eventually, we were placed at the table in the hallway, next to toilet. And when asked to change we were rejected with the most inappropriate excuse “I am working alone here and I don’t have time”. Few minutes later, we see other people being placed to desired table. Then it took them 15 minutes to take our order, however we were ready to order already while waiting outside. The waitress that refused us kept walking around and every time gave us that arrogant look. If you are annoyed by people why to work in customer service? Manners and hospitality instructions should be provided to most of the workers here. Food waiting time took longer than promised - 20 minutes for starters. Food was okay, but restaurant is not only about food and beverages but also good service, that was definitely lacking here. If you want to have a cozy dinner with family, friends or significant other, would recommend going to places next to it. Those were...
Read moreI have been in many restaurants in which the quality of the attention was not great, but the service in both Talutti Vokeciu and the one at Vilnius g. are really bad. Unfriendly staff, we asked nicely if they could take our orders, after waiting nearly 30 minutes, they just ignored us, they won’t even look at us. At some point even one the waitress started yelling that there was a lot clients (Vokeciu gatve).
I understand that this might be the case but at not point No one comes to explain that it might take a bit of extra time to take orders. It is evident that the staff lacks of training in costumer services. I mean if Vilnius really aspires to become the city it wants to be then this is something that they have to work on. Anyway, I would say only go to Talutti when it’s your last option, when you already walk the whole old town without finding any place, but come prepare to the really low...
