I stopped here yesterday for lunch as I had vetted the place ahead of time as an ostensibly carnivore-friendly eatery that wasn't too overpriced (as one would get at the posher steakhouses around the city). The atmosphere/environment at this particular location was pretty cool and cozy, resembling something of a steampunk/industrial Victorian England vibe, and it wasn't crowded, which is a plus for me. Service was also fine, no complaints there.
However, I was pretty disappointed with the food. I had expected the serving sizes of the meat to be a bit bigger based on the photos I saw in reviews - particularly the ribs - but I guess I misjudged it as they were pretty tiny. Added to that, they were not particularly well-cooked, what with needing a little effort to take the meat off unlike the melt-off-the-bone standard one seeks with barbequed pork ribs. Since I did not want any of the "free sides" (potatoes and other vegetable stuff) in an attempt to not cheat on my diet, besides the pork ribs I also ordered a "large" meal of chicken breast steak, but this too was also disappointing in terms of size and taste. The large order was pretty much equivalent to just one whole chicken breast divided into two - meaning the small order would just give you one of those little medallions. It was pretty dry as well - very little juiciness left in it.
For about 18 euros, then, I left pretty hungry and unimpressed. Judging by the looks of the sides on other patrons' tables, I do not think fluffing up the meal with the sides and salads would have helped very much on the satiety scale, as they looked pretty meagre as well. The place is anyways nice-enough looking to maybe hang out with friends once in awhile - but I would not go here looking for good barbeque or an...
Read moreGrill London is a delightful restaurant that offers a pleasant ambiance, excellent service, and a memorable culinary experience. I recently had the pleasure of dining there and was impressed by the overall quality of my visit.
First and foremost, the atmosphere at Grill London is inviting and comfortable. The restaurant's cozy setting creates a warm and welcoming environment for guests to enjoy their meals. It is an ideal place for a casual lunch or an intimate dinner with friends or loved ones.
The service at Grill London is commendable. The staff members are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu offerings. They were prompt in taking orders, and their genuine warmth added to the overall dining experience. The attentive service contributed to a relaxed and enjoyable meal.
Now, let's talk about the food. The standout dish for me was the salad with catfish fillet. It was a truly unique and delicious combination. The catfish fillet was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, complemented by a variety of fresh and vibrant salad ingredients. The presentation of the dish was also visually appealing, adding to the overall dining pleasure.
While the salad with catfish fillet was undoubtedly the star of the meal, I would have liked to see a broader range of options on the menu. Nonetheless, the quality of the food I did sample was excellent, and the flavors were well-balanced.
In conclusion, Grill London is a nice restaurant that offers a pleasant dining experience. The combination of good service, inviting ambiance, and the amazing salad with catfish fillet make it a worthwhile choice for a satisfying meal. I recommend giving it a try, especially if you're a fan of unique and...
Read moreFood was ok and waiters were fine, but bartender and administrator don't know what they are doing. We changed from inside to outdoor seeting after the dinner. Of course we asked the waitress if that is ok, paid the bill for inside table and then flipped the tables to outdoor.
Administrator came to us directly with a lecture that flipping tables is not allowed, which I find highly unprofessional as she should have asked the staff first. When we explained the situation - of course it was fine.
Then the lady (administrator) took our order. 3 from 4 drinks came wrong. They have changes the drinks kindly, but then again i have received wrong drink and this time we needed to "fight" for it to be changed.
I have ordered gin tonic and I know how it tastes. Instead I have received tequila tonic. When asked to change the drink bartender and adminstrator both were claiming it was ok even after smelling and even tasting it. Both needed to be asked to smell gin and tequila one by one to understand the difference.
Bartender who doesn't know the very basic drinks and can't tell them apart should not make cocktails.
And the attitude towards clients is ridiculous.
Should have simply said sorry and changed the drink without...
