Vanillè — Restaurant in Vilnius

Me and 2 others came here on sunday evening with a last minute reservation, I ordered the wet aged steak let me say It was the best steak i ever had for a very low price considering how amazing the food was i also tried my fiancees beef cheek and mother inlaws duck and both also amazing!! I was confused why my steak did not come with a steak knife but soon found it was so soft it was able to be cut with a butter knife the wine was beautiful and the service was also the best i have had i felt like i was a bloody queen after being served by a young boy called Ilya He was charming, kind and professional..he gave the best service i had or could ever had imagined to recieve and as someone who was very anxious to go out in vilnius as i dont speak a word of lithuanian/russian turns out he speaks all three so was switching between all three languages for all of us, I felt so welcome and can NOT recomment this place...

Me and my boyfriend stumbled upon this restaurant by accident while walking the streets of Vilnius, we were pleasantly greeted by waitress/bartender Saulė, her english was perfect so it was lovely she could communicate with my foreign partner and didn't make him feel left out. The cocktails we ordered were amazing, considering it was a spin off of an already classic cocktail which we both like, but this one was much better 🙂 The food was nothing short of excellence, it's elegant and light, full of flavor and we managed to eat all three courses without feeling like we had too much, compliments to the chef. Very promising place with a beautiful terrace and nice atmosphere. Sadly, one of the worst experiences we ever had. Service was really bad - we had to wait for our meals for 1.5 hour. The olives we ordered upon arrival were completely forgotten. Ignoring the small portion sizes - the main courses, luckily, were decently delicious. However, the potatoes I ordered as a side dish were as cold as if it was just taken out from the fridge. I asked for the potatoes to be changed and the waitress took it away saying 'I will try to fix it' but i never received re/warmed potatoes back - finished my main without a side dish.
