Non-halal.

2025-03 This place served quite an okay kampua noodles. Well not exactly the Sibu style kampua, it is just the name of the dish on the menu.

The noodles were the thicker strand type, firm and springy (self handmade I guess), texture a bit like ramen, taste wise nothing like kampua but more like kolomee Miri style and was okay. Reasonable serving size, not too salty, or too greasy, okay topping (but can be better) and at RM5.00/bowl, it was affordable.

Coffee was just okay, I need to ask for more ever kaw-kaw next time.

Compared to its nearby big shot, the place opens early for business. It was clean and tidy, quite popular among the locals and office workers.

However, the service was a bit slow during my visit, the guy who brought me the noodles, didn't have his coffee yet I guess.

Note,...

The laksa special is decent. The laksa is served with 2 types of pork and chicken. The base is nice. Sweet with just a tinge of spiciness. I guess this is the flavour profile that most Chinese prefer. If you like spicy bsse, it is definitely not for you. You can choose what noodles you prefer, between mihun, mee, kuetiaw and etc. The portion is huge though. Almost regretted eating it for breakfast.

I bought a set meal that came with a cold drink, eggs and bread. The drinks is just ok. The eggs are cooked perfectly. But the bread? No difference between what they serve and what you can make at home. Save the money.

The service is fast. Plenty of parking if you come early.

Overall, for the price, good breakfast spot.

I’m a regular at Chang Cheng Cafe. Unfortunately I have to give one star review today due to bad encounter with one of the staffs. Long story short, we were a group of four dining at Table 11 around 11am today. One of the staffs came and stood next to our table when we hadn’t even finished our drinks. She had chewing gums in her mouth while fanning the receipt in front of us. We thought the way she collected money was very impolite because she didn’t even say anything! Even beggars can open their mouth and say “please” when they ask for money! That was my first time seeing somebody collect money that way! (Shocking) I handed her the money and she just walked away without even saying “thank you”. Wow…

To the management, please train your staffs properly if you wanna maintain...
