🛞Aug 2024 Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah😃😃😃💸15.9 Nasi Lemak Sotong Goreng 😃😃😃💸16.9 The chicken berempah, while impressively crispy on the outside, lacked depth in flavor. The seasoning didn’t quite permeate the meat, leaving it bland and underwhelming. It’s a shame because the texture was spot-on, with a satisfying crunch that should have complemented a more robust flavor profile. The sambal, typically the heart of nasi lemak, was another letdown for me. It had a strong belacan (fermented shrimp paste) taste that overpowered the other ingredients. While some might appreciate the intense, pungent flavor, it didn’t quite align with my personal taste preferences, leaving the dish unbalanced. On a brighter note, the nasi (rice) was a highlight, cooked to perfection with a soft, fluffy texture and infused with the rich, creamy taste of santan (coconut milk). Each spoonful of rice was fragrant and comforting, exactly what you expect from good nasi lemak. The sotong (squid) rings, like the chicken, were crispy on the outside but suffered from a chewy texture that made them a bit tough to enjoy.

unfortunately, they don't maintain the taste & quality of the food. the first time i had their nasi lemak in july (dine in), the rice was cooked to perfection - soft, fluffy and fragrant. their ayam berempah was also good, although could be improved. the sambal was a little spicy but not a problem to me. iced coffee was kaw too. however the second time i had their nasi lemak in august (takeaway), the rice lack seasoning, santan flavour and was not well cooked. their chicken didn't taste fresh, and had a burnt flavour - probably from the frying oil that wasn't changed when it's supposed to be changed. their sambal wasn't spicy, which was ok to me, but that further proved they don't maintain the taste & quality of their food. iced coffee was not kaw either. The service & atmosphere however, is still excellent.

i came for lunch with colleagues, the atmosphere is very comfortable and clean, all the employees are friendly and the service is very satisfactory. i ordered the Sarawak Signature Laksa, the condiments are a lot of shrimp and it tastes sweet but the laksa Sambal is sweet and less spicy. the gravy also has no taste, very disappointed as a laksa lover. My colleague ordered Nasi Lemak Sambal Kerang overall everything okayla Nasi Lemak part. hopefully in the future the taste and what is lacking will be improved.

As usual the best kaya toast. Tried their nasi aruk and it was more like nasi goreng kampung but it was good. Their laksa had very strong flavour and not as authentic for my taste. The highlight of this review is, I was shocked to see a customer's dog was sitting on the chair (outside) while they dine. So I thought this might be the last time I visit here :/ BUT after they left, the staffs replaced the chair and bring it to the back, so it means they are alert of this issue for the muslim customers. I assumed and hoped they samak/sertu the chair. I didn't get to ask the staff about it unfortunately. Just leaving this here for info to others, and if was2 maybe can ask the staff about this before dining in (I think the inside should...
