We arrived at Cafe One One around 9:45 AM and ordered their signature fish soup. The order was served promptly, which was much appreciated. The soup tasted good, though it was slightly less salty than expected, possibly catering to the taste preferences of visitors from Peninsular Malaysia. My friends from Sabah rated the dish 3.5 out of 5 stars. Parking was convenient and easily accessible. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for breakfast. The service was exceptional, deserving a full 5-star rating. Additionally, the cafe is family-friendly, offering baby chairs for customers with young children. The cleanliness of the establishment was impressive, earning a solid 4-star rating from us. Prices were reasonable and aligned with typical rates in Kota Kinabalu. Overall, Cafe One One provides a pleasant dining experience with good food, excellent service, and a comfortable environment.

2 stars for the food quality. Konlau mee is not appetising, soggy and totally immersing in Soya sauce (kicap). The tomyum soup was salty and bland. The asam pedas doesn’t taste like asam pedas, taste the same as tomyum. I’m wondering did they place in the wrong order. In short, it’s a disaster . And 1 star for the waitress attitude. Not wearing a mask during the preparation of food. Politely asked her “aren’t you supposed to wear a mask?” She replied “now there’s no need to wear one” rudely and walked off. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I mean, this is a food industry, food hygiene and proper handling of food should still be a concern everywhere. Sorry I won’t come back anymore. First and last. 🫣

I enjoyed the Sup Ikan here. The fish fillet, while just a standard white fish, impressed me with its freshness, I'd rate it an 8 out of 10 for freshness. The soup was delightful, boasting a subtle yet enticing ginger and tomato flavor. The mihun noodles had a pleasing texture that complemented the dish well. At just RM13 per bowl, the portion size was generous and definitely worth the price. The modern renovation of the shop adds to its appeal, though seating might be a bit snug. Additionally, its corner location ensures a breezy and airy dining experience.
