Penang Chendul Permaisuri Imperial City Mall — Restaurant in Borneo

OMG RM60 for just noodles and dessert for, 2 pax. Worse still as you enter there was no worker to usher you in. My partner and I found a table for 2 far in. It was a very wet table. It was just right in front of the tauke cashier. It took his worker a good ten minutes to come to wipe the table properly. After paying, we were warned that we have to wait half an hour for our food. It really came half an hour later. I can't even see any prawn paste in my assam laksa. So I asked the waitress. So she said already added inside.But this Penang lang can't taste it. To be fair the lksa tasted authentic but it would be better if there's more prawn paste. The signature cendol was a huge disappointment. There was hardly any ice. It came with the ice already melted. What a mess. I could hardly see the cendol or red beans. The red beans were overly sweet. To be fair the ice were finely shaved. Ergh! Despite being a popular item on the menu, and many customers at the cafe, you can't even really hear ice being shaved. This explains why my ice came all melted and so little too. For the exorbitant price no need to be kiam siap with the ice lah. If I tell my Penang friends how much I have to pay for w bowls of noodles and 2 bowls of cendol. They will laugh until they fall off their chairs. All the customers in the cafe had very angry faces because they had to wait too long for for their food. Don't come here if you don't want to be slaughtered and get angry. Better fly to Penang, stay in a nice hotel and eat your favourite local delicacies which are aplenty there. I hope the management will improve with the many complaints...

I had an unpleasant experience with the customer service at this outlet. I ordered the Penang White Curry, and there was a worm in it. I showed it to one of the staff, and she sent the dish back to the kitchen (presumably so they could replace it).

However, after minutes of waiting, there was no update at all. I had to approach one of the waiter myself to ask about the status of my meal. I told him that if it was already being prepared, they can just give it to whichever staff member wanted it instead, because I needed to leave immedietly since the wait was taking too long. Otherwise, I asked them to please cancel it.

When he came out of the kitchen, he informed me that the kitchen did not approve remaking the dish and that I was entitled to a refund.

I don’t really mind about the refund, but please, customer service should at least inform me directly about what was happening and explain the situation properly. Don’t leave customers waiting too long without any response. I felt the longer I waited, the less anyone was...

Overall , is a good place and good food to try for Miri ppl 🤭🤭🤭 finally 💋 not as bad as some reviews actually 🫶🏻 different ppl different taste ya👅 Respect ✨Peace...
