Everrise (Bintang Megamall) — Local services in Borneo

I purchased some 350g frozen beef from Everrise Bingtang Mall yesterday. I purchased frozen as there was only mince meat available in the fresh section. I left it in the fridge to thaw overnight. On opening it today the meat is hardened like a shoe sole on the outside. It looks like it has been in the frozen section for months. Cutting all the hardened ugly parts off I am left with 150g of softer limp ugly beef. I’m unable to use this and have given it to the starving dogs on the street, as honestly it does not look fit for human consumption.

This store has obviously not rotated its stock and thrown out the old stock. It just remains in the freezer and If not sold it works its way to the bottom and newer stuff is put on top.

I have not found this poor quality of meat in Sibu, Kuching or Kota Kinabulu, just at Everrise Miri Bingtang mall. I suggest people buy their beef elsewhere as this is...

DON’T ever use their eshop app, very poor stock system. They should’ve unlist those “sold out item” from the app. Every time i purchase from everrise app, there must be something left out. this item sold out that item sold out. then after they just email you and give you a voucher code for the balance refund.

It’s like their marketing strategy to keep customer “REPEATING ORDER” from them or else you won’t get your refund.

Apart from that, sometime when you buy Brand A product, they’ll just give you Brand B. I paid for Emborg cheese, they gave me random brand cheese (with just transparent plastic packaging). Even i buy candy, they also die die don’t give me the flavour i want :D
