Tamu Rooftop — Restaurant in Borneo

I had a bad experience last night due to lack of services. Toojou TAMU Bar is 1 of my favourite place to go hangout with friends but because of last night incident it’s disappointed me.. Already reserved early 1 week before actual day and due to slight rain last night we been ask whether to change place or go down while waiting the weather getting better. So we decide to wait n have a dinner downstairs.. While waiting our dinner serve I even go upstairs to check on the situation and inform the service team to ensure our place are still on reserve and after we finish our dinner we will coming to TAMU bar.. there are 2 staffs that I’ve inform to ensure the place are secure… Then when we go upstairs our place already been occupied by other customers.. what the???!!!.. how speechless are we.. and the manager come see us explain there are miscommunication and ask if could change place.. we was speechless on that time and feel irritated.. we went to the place that they suggest there are another issue arise.. we waited too long for our order.. so overall experience we have last night totally disappointing.. dear management team please take note on this matter and improve on your services.. you guys already lost potential...

Rating the rooftop bar, end of October 2024: Very disappointing!!! We went there since we saw the promotion on Instagram for the weekdays. For us it was Thursday and it said 3 mugs of Tiger beer for 13 RM each. They didn't have tiger beer, only Carlsberg. They didn't have any promotions, nor any live music or other event going on.

We met a couple who stayed at the hotel. They also told us that the bar barely has any drinks on their menu available. Also the staff didn't really seem to care or to offer any alternatives when asking for cocktails they had on the menu but actually not available.

There were almost no people at the bar, only a few hotel guests. Maybe because Oct/Nov is off-season.

The place has a great atmosphere and is very fun and well decorated. But unfortunately that doesn't help when A) the proper drinks are missing, B) they market the bar on social better than it actually is and C) people for partying...

Stayed at the toojou hotel and decided to checkout their rooftop bar. It was pretty empty despite being a Sunday night . While ordering we asked the waitress a few questions about the ingredients of cocktails and she seems pretty clueless going back and forth to check out her note which I found pretty lacklustre.

The food was pretty good but portion wise is abit underwhelming. The cocktails are great too but I would like it better if it’s stronger .

It was an okay night until some people showed up next table smoking cigarettes continuously one after another and being rude to your staff then we decided to leave.
