Requested for the charcoal thrice. With 2 different waitresses. Not sure if it's just that they don't understand, inept, incompetent, lazy, or just some weird or discriminatory service policy but, we weren't served our charcoal while the rest of the customers were served few minutes right after they sat down. We were just acknowledged with nods and smile and were offered no explanations each time we requested. Came and left a BBQ place without having a piece of charcoal. Quite bizarre and dumbfounding actually.
Food-wise, it was all quite underwhelming. If taste and portion is what you're going for, you can get much better skewers/satay elsewhere. Not sure if the signature beef skewer is supposed to be like that but it's a bit powdery to the bite.
For the cheesy corn, it was comprehensively disappointing. Do not trust the menu's picture or any social media posts by famous influencers. Imagine a cup of corn you can get at the local Tanjung Aru Beach. Take maybe a little less than ¾ of that, pour it out on an aluminium foil, and put like a sad tablespoon of sad cheese on it with a drizzle of black sesame and colourful chocolate rice. It was such a sad display and it tasted how it looked; sad.
As for the Korean sizzling eggs, it was also quite sad. And again, quite very different from the menu's picture and social media post. The eggs are thinly served on a flat hot plate with maybe 2 sad tablespoons of sauce on it. Taste is alright but not as expected from the menu picture or "influencer's" social media posting.
Cold noodles (beef): taste is good but for RM25 per bowl, there's only two sad thin slices of beef.
The grill cheese bread or something like that is good. More like just a regular toast but, it's not bad.
For some positives: Cola is good, eucalyptus handwash is good.

Read moreTried plenty of dishes. Their signature beef is sweet based, which is quite surprising. Taste like satay which might be for the taste of the local here. The shop owner mentioned that it’s from the Yanji. The chicken gizzards taste like Chinese bbq which was good. BBQ oyster is good too. Oyster is big and fresh. Lamb ribs is nice too, no weird taste and the skin of the lamb racks are very crispy. Their minced garlic sauce is great for putting on prawns as well as the oysters. Was looking for Chinese bbq and this place was recommended by the tour guide. Staff very friendly, clean and...
Read moreWe called their flavoured lamb chops for RM28.90 and the photo was a rack with 7-8 sticks of lamb but what arrived was less than half a finger sticks and only two per person. There are only two of us. Look at the disparity between the picture (also in the menu) and the reality. A pricy experience where the sticks of meat did not even compare to satay sticks we had. They were small and pathetic not even a mouth full. Not even sure if it is a Chinese restaurant masquerading as a...
