缘份 YF Fusion Kitchen — Restaurant in George Town

I usually don’t write negative reviews, but I had a disappointing experience here. I was served the wrong dish and was charged for it.

I ordered Mushroom Aglio Olio, and was served shortly after placing the order. Believing it was mine, because no one else at our table had ordered one, so I began eating. Only when I was already halfway eating it, another aglio olio was served at our table.

That's when the staff checked with the kitchen and found out that the one I was eating was actually Bacon Aglio Olio instead of Mushroom Aglio Olio.

The staff member said to me, "你吃错了" ("You ate the wrong one"), and walked away to serve another customer.

In the end, I was charged for the Bacon Aglio Olio.

I get that mistakes happen, but the way it was handled was unprofessional and left a bad impression. Here's why:

No Informed consent I wasn't told that I’d be charged for the wrong dish, nor given a choice in how to proceed. I only found out after my friend had already paid the bill, which felt misleading and unfair.

Lack of order confirmation The dish was served to the table without the staff mentioning the dish name or confirming the order. Naturally, I believe it was what I had ordered and began eating.

Zero Accountability The staff made no effort to own the error or offer a solution, the responsibility was pushed onto me as the customer, which reflects poorly on service standards.

Being a regular customer, I would seriously reconsider whether I want to come back to this restaurant again. I hope the staff takes more care with orders and treats customers more fairly...

Food was average good. Nothing special but ok. Service also average, but not bad. The room is cold not atmosphere but it is clean (like a canteen). Nothing to complain, we were looking for fast and reasonable price and this is what we got. Tried fried rice, bittergourd omelette, bean sprouts and mushroom soup....

Passed by every day but never tried. Today finally tried it is sooooooooo good and price reasonable. Gonna come every day with friends 🥰 If the owner can improve in the marketing & menu & front door decorations I am sure more customers will be attracted, and definitely will they stay and...
