Overall the food quality is good. Oysters and shashimi are fresh. Cheese baked scallops are tasty. At first we are still thinking this restaurant worth to visit again in the near future.
However after we enjoy for the first hour, things changed. The food start refill slowly, the grill food, tempura and hotpot which we ala carte order from the menu start serving slow and suddenly dishes that not ordered by us start appear on our table and claim that's ordered by us. (their ala carte is order via writing on a laminated menu with marker pen, It's advisable to snap a photo on what you order before handover to the staff as proof of what you order).
As a restaurant that claim to provide unlimited buffet dinner should be generous in providing their food and service. We are disappointed that the workers which we believed is the business owner start staring on us and watching us when eating. That feeling is really like we did something wrong for having our foods.
In conclusion, if you are not a buffet lover and not intended to eat alot you're welcome to try. But if you're a oyster lover please bring your own tabasco as the worker will tell you they are run out of tabasco. (perhaps that's a tactic for you to eat less because we saw others table have the tabasco). Eventually we finished all the food that was served on our table and say goodbye to the restaurant for the...
Read moreHere to advise not to try those “fresh” oysters. All of the fresh seafood losing freshness and the taste was OMG something like “old storeroom” and we have lost our appetite after this🙂
If you haven't get to try, don’t try to have too high expectations. We get to here by scrolling FB foodies sharing in the end we felt bad, first and last time stepping into this restaurant.
The worst thing is their waitress served our birthday cake to other customers and lied to us even when the cake was obviously cut by other customers infront of our own eyes. Funny thing is that the person who got our cake didn't realise that cake does not belongs to them until they cut it. We weren’t sure at first if the cake was ours or not, hence we did not ask the waitress as it might be a coincidence that someone else has the same cake as we had. We wouldn’t be that upset if the waitress just told is upfront that they served the cake mistakenly to other customers, but instead she insists and tried to convince that the cake was not cut and not served to anyone else.
This is the worst experience to celebrate someone‘s birthday. Please put aside if you are planning to have a birthday celebration here.
‼️Kindly advice, never TRY if you have constipation I'm sure this will helps you...
Read moreFirst of all, if you’re aiming for sashimi, then you’ve come to the right place. It offers a thick layer each slice for Tuna fish and Salmon. However the rest of the food, it does not only take at least 30 mind and above to serve but also serve cold (exp chawanmushi, grilled scallop, tempura). It is ridiculous with the price they charged ($89.90++/pax) by serving this kind of quality. If you are looking for similar price range japanese buffet compare to Akira, I will definitely recommend you go to Mitasu KL.
Next speaking about the service, the service is extremely slow. Well, slow is fine, but the food also serve cold, it makes me wonder why do they serve that slow if they didn’t even reheat the stuff? Not only that, they mention you have only 90 mins window for the buffet, but serving time is 30 mins and above, might as well I don’t order anything, so that I don’t need to wait at all??
And last the atmosphere, the interior design is fine, japanese style, very cozy seating. But the problem is they only have 1 song on repeat. I would rather they don’t put on any music at all.
All in all, if you are a person who usually eat very slow and love the food serve cold, this is the place you should’ve pay a visit. Or else,...
