I recently had dinner at Sushi Zento in Precinct 10, and it was a very pleasant dining experience overall. The food here is fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. Every dish we ordered—from the sushi rolls to the sashimi—was well-prepared and tasted delicious. The quality of the seafood was very satisfying, and you can tell that they pay attention to detail in both preparation and presentation.
The restaurant has a comfortable and modern environment, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. It feels relaxing and cozy inside, and the atmosphere adds a touch of premium dining to the overall experience. The staff were attentive and polite throughout our meal, always ready to refill drinks or check if we needed anything. Their service made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
As expected, the prices are slightly higher compared to some other Japanese restaurants in Penang. But considering the good service, the fresh ingredients, and the pleasant dining environment, I feel it is reasonable and worth it for the quality provided.
So far, I have no bad comments about this outlet. Sushi Zento at Precinct 10 maintains a consistent standard, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for tasty Japanese food in a...
Read moreThis is one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Penang island. There are 2 seating areas (indoors and outdoors) and we usually sit outside due to the natural lighting. Both areas have air-conditioner but for some reason, they only turn on the air-conditioner for the indoors and not the outdoors(quite warm in the afternoon).
Parking space is limited but you are likely to get a spot during the afternoon. I have to say that the service here is efficient even with a full house and it goes to show that the staffs have been properly trained.
There are some cheap set dishes here but the most expensive sushi and bento are over RM40 and RM80 respectively. What I realized is that the set meals arrive fast but the food is not very hot so some customers would not be happy with that. The more expensive sushi and dishes taste better but in my opinion, the food standards should be good for everything.
Overall, this is still a place that I will bring my family again...
Read moreOne of my favourite Japanese restaurants in town. Used to be lesser patrons pre Covid and during Covid, making dining in/taking away easier but biz boomed after Covid. You might want to call for reservations prior visiting.
Highly recommended kimuchi yaki soba - it’s from the old menu. You gotta order directly with the waiter since it’s no longer in the latest menu.
Highly recommended the salmon fish head soup as well but sad that they can’t remove the orange peel from the prep. Sometimes the orange peel scent can be quite overwhelming.
It will be great if the management can look into the size of the unagi roll. The unagi is paper thin! It’s absolutely ridiculous for the price charged! Sister company Hachiban offers better thickness of the unagi for the roll. Please do improve on this.
Overall, it’s a good...
