En En Coffee Shop in Penang is one of those old-style places where the food speaks for itself. It’s not a big shop, but it has a few really good hawker stalls that make it worth the visit. My favorites here are the satay, wan tan mee, char koay teow, and of course the famous mee sua kor. The mee sua kor is very special – this stall has been operating here for more than 45 years, and you can taste the tradition in every bowl. The broth is thick and flavorful, the mee sua is smooth, and it feels like a dish that has been loved by locals for generations. The char koay teow also has great wok hei, while the wan tan mee comes with springy noodles and tasty dumplings. Satay here is also a must-try – juicy and perfectly grilled with rich peanut sauce. The coffee shop itself is quite simple and not very big. The only downside is that there are not many tables, so sometimes you need to wait for a seat, especially during peak hours. Parking is also limited, so you may need to park a bit further away and walk. Overall, this is a great spot for authentic Penang food at a fair price. If you don’t mind the small space, the food here is really worth it!

I mean dinner is fine too but expect dinner crowd that will put quite a waiting time for food to arrive.. seems like a local favourite, was quite full and packed when I was there around 7:30pm.. waiting time was around 30 minutes maybe.. noodle dishes usually arrive a bit later, so do order the flavourful fried belacan chicken.. I noticed that the belacan fried chicken are served at many tables(including mine) first before their main meals arrive.. 😅.. the mee sua kor is good, and the pork leg fried hokkien mee is also good!
