Restaurant Review:
Overall, my dining experience at this restaurant had its ups and downs. Here are my key points:
Pancake is hard: Unfortunately, the pancake I ordered was quite disappointing. It was hard and lacked the desired fluffiness. It definitely missed the mark in terms of texture and taste.
Sandwich okay: The sandwich I had was decent. Although it wasn't particularly extraordinary, it satisfied my hunger. The flavors were acceptable, but nothing exceptional that would make me crave it again.
Beverage okay: The beverage options at the restaurant were average. They didn't stand out as anything extraordinary, but they weren't terrible either. They were refreshing enough, but lacked that wow factor.
Appreciation for the service staff: I would like to express my gratitude to a lady service staff member who went out of her way to offer us a different table away from the sun. It was a considerate gesture, especially considering that the initial placement by a male staff member in the sunny area was puzzling. The lady staff's attentiveness was commendable.
Improvement needed in serving staff: One area that could use some improvement is the serving staff's approach. It would be beneficial if they took the time to ask which dish is meant for each person at the table instead of simply leaving the order on the table without clarification. This could avoid mix-ups and ensure a smoother dining experience.
In conclusion, while the restaurant had some shortcomings like the hard pancake and the lack of attentiveness from the initial male staff, it did redeem itself with decent sandwiches and satisfactory beverages. The generous gesture from the lady service staff member deserves appreciation. However, it is crucial for the serving staff to be more proactive in confirming orders and making sure they are...
Read moreI should have taken pictures. It was a month ago, I came with favorite hoshino minded. I don't know is it me, or the kitchen crew, or did not came for too long after so long. I ordered omurice and some other foods okay. I don't know is it me or what, I felt I've been cheated by someone there. An omurice curry katsu, came in a big plate, chicken good, curry good, rice acceptable amount BUT NOT THE OMU, it came like an overcooked omu, like I can even cook by myself. And kids meal, REALLY ITS KIDS MEAL WHERE an age of 8 yrs old kid, can even say, not full enough, okay that's fine, food is fine, the mini souffle pancake is totally out as it came like a harden overcooked pancake but thanks to the ice cream, able to eat by ADULTS not the kids, and kids beverage that is also included to the kids meal, I WOULD LIKE TO HIGHLIGHT, PLEASE GIVE A BETTER ORANGE INSTANT JUICE. NOT A BITTER ORANGE JUICE like as if it's gonna be going bad. A kid pushed away the orange juice, we understand, but when we adults drink on behalf of the kids, I am pushing away too, as it is really a bad bitter instant orange drink. I just hope the staffs there can be well trained fully by the origin crews when they first started. Overall paid of RM60+++ for kids meal, omurice curry katsu, lemonade and a Swiss roll. I do hope, hoshino continue to improve more even without the origin crews. If you want your customers to comeback, then improve your kitchen staff crews to learn to cook better omu, and better souffle...
Read moreThe food I got was revolting.
This was some time back when they had the promo about some egg souffle curry dish. If you see the picture provided below, the egg looks quite amusing, I thought it was hilarious when it came out but when I put it into my mouth, I was no longer amused. Its the simple rice, curry, chicken cutlet and wtv kind of monstrosity egg topping that is.
(Mind you, this was after I had to wait an extensive amount of time. After my family members were served their food, I still was waiting for probably another 15-20 mins ontop of the 15-20 minute wait.)
The rice was soggy, like almost porridge-like (Did the chef's mother never teach them the finger method for cooking rice?). The curry was alright, the chicken was also again soggy, the skin no longer crispy. But the egg, god the egg was revolting. The first bite was confusion but the second bite was horror. I genuinely felt like I was gonna throw up if I kept eating that egg, I waited all that time just to put myself on the brink of throwing up. Crazy.
My other family member ordered the same dish to mine but their egg was just cooked to like an omurice egg and their dish was perfectly fine. Nothing crazy but it was actually edible so the singular star goes to that dish. I also got karage which was fine as well, quite nice honestly so the other star goes to that as well.
So if I ever do come back, I'm not ordering any of their promos. Because "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice,...
