Nice ambience, brightly lited at Store 15 side (Bite Me Delight), whereas some are more warm or somber lightings, music are noisy and doesn't match the green theme. We tried the Mr Shawerma Mandi Chicken which is delicious and we found the rice has more spices and chicken is more tender until the chicken was removed so easily with a fork and spoon. The Paratha (Roti Canai) and Thoseh is soft, crispy at the edge and the dhall was thick and tasty but there is NO Curry or Chutney (creamy coconut gravy) for our Toseh or Paratha. We also ordered the Bubur Chacha and Lemon Jelly with mixed fruits. The Lemon Jelly was NOT special or unique but the Bubur Chacha was surprisingly tasty, tender and creamy. Highly recommended their Bubur Chacha (Stall No. 15 - Bite Me Dessert). This time we ordered from 'Thailander', their Mango Sticky Rice, Green Curry Minced Chicken with Rice, Tomyum Noodles, Mango Salad, Basil Leaves Chicken Rice + Egg, Tumeric Minced Chicken Rice + Egg and the delightful dessert Bubur Cha Cha from Bite Me Dessert and soya bean drink which is delightfully refershing becoz it's NOT sweet. For this batch from Thailander (Stall No. 12), we loved the Green Curry Rice, Basil Leaves Minced Chicken + Egg and our favorite Bubur Cha Cha (Pung Ngat). Nowaday, the Uncle Kin's Noodle is much higher in price from RM6.50, to RM7.50 and now RM8.50 but the portion and ingredients are becoming lesser too. But their fried fish skin is crispy thin and delicious. The Penang Chendol sells tasty Chee Cheong Fun, Laksa, and Chendol but now it tastes so weird aka different and the quality deteriorates. Try the Sunshine Farlim Penang Chendol stall which retain it's flavor, taste and quality. The notable dessert/pastries is the Turkish Delight, the Cheese Kunafa (yellow pancake with sprinkling of fried Bihun) tastes great. If you prefer NOT too sweet, do not add the syrup or sugary mixture. Great place for family, children, colleagues and friend to have a meal, many stalls to choose and variety of cuisine to try. Pricey but worth trying the Arabian Rice and Dessert.

Read moreFirst time trying here. I ordered dry chilli pan mee with fishball soup for RM 8 and RM 5 respectively. The pan mee was really good, loved the spiciness of the chilli, even Queensbay chilli pan mee couldn't give that level of spice. Both are different styles and unique. The fishball soup was really good it came with many fishballs therefore the RM 5 felt worth it. Overall I'd recommend eating this combo for RM 13 with no regrets. As for a rating chilli pan mee is a solid 10/10. Fishball soup is a 10/10.
The next item was Char koay teow. It was good but not up to the level of hawker stalls. It wasn't oily which takes the unhealthy topic out of context. I would recommend having this too. I'd rate this an 8/10.
The final item was the tteokboki. One of the worst dish I had throughout my life 😭. I ordered spicy and he gave me a rose water flavoured tteokboki. The sauce tasted extremely bad. I added cheese and look at the cheese he provided for RM 3. Never eat here. It costed me RM 13. Literally a waste of money.
The drinks shop Patio I'd have to say I really gotta rate you guys 1/10. The drinks are literally average not worth the prices. I also witnessed one of the staff a Chinese guy who was quite big sized being extremely rude to a foreigner. He was having trouble communicating. It doesn't matter who the person is if it's a customer treat them with respect how dare you mock the person who's paying your salary. Shame on you Patio drinks for not monitoring your staffs.
So I could conclude that most probably if there are 10 shops here, 7 will be good and 3 will be bad therefore I can rate it 4 stars as overall. Be careful with what you order here to enjoy only the best. The place was also clean and the cleaners did a great job cleaning up really fast as soon as customers...
Read moreGurney Food Hall in Gurney Plaza Mall is not your typical food court—it’s a modern dining space filled with quality food stalls that each carry their own unique style. Unlike ordinary hawker setups, the stalls here have a certain class and presentation that makes the overall experience feel more refined. Of course, this also means the prices are slightly higher, but the variety and taste often justify the cost.
One of the stalls I tried was Mr. Shawerma, which serves Arabian cuisine. The chicken mandy and chick shawerma were both satisfying, with flavorful seasoning and tender meat, though I found the rice a little on the dry side. Still, overall it was a good experience and something different from the usual mall food. Another highlight is Thailander, which I’ve ordered many times through GrabFood. Their fried chicken is consistently tasty and awesome—even delivered, it arrives hot and crispy. So I can only imagine how much better it tastes when eaten fresh at the hall itself.
Beyond that, the selection here is impressive. From chicken rice and fried kuey teow to toro fries, tonic soup, Thai specialties, and wok hey-style stir-fries, there’s plenty to explore. Gurney Food Hall definitely raises the bar for...
