McDonald's — Restaurant in George Town

After waiter asked either we would dine-in or take away. The waiter never explain clearly and literally bring us into the seats and bringing us inside then take order via app. This could makes ppl feel uncomfortable as ordering via app will exposed ppl privacy such as credit card information. Which this is highly possible that violate PDPA. In additional, while the waiter is guiding us to take the order via app. How could him just sitting at my seat and let me standing aside? Is that because I'm younger and he deserve to get my respects? Interesting...

Besides, as I have something to query and I was already standing in front of the cashier counter and waiting for the cashier to response. There's another waitress still telling me if I have question, I may go to the cashier counter for that (such a pointless action) Thanks a lot, that's making me feel so "warm".

Lastly, when we ordering the food via apps. The waiter claims that they don't have any fries but end up when my friend ask again if he could change the snacks due to the corn seems is spoiled and no longer fresh and secure to consume. Immediately he gets the fries as exchange.

What's the point making such lies to customers? As we are playing the role well as a customer but what we have deserved is just disappointment.

This is a Football sized Mac Donalds flavoured by a warm wooden colonial house design. An efficient courteous completion of orders. No longer the bargain prices that Mac Donalds once offered.

Three grades of seats from unbearable, barely bearable and acceptable.

Mac Donalds Play Land available for your little ones upstairs. Toilets up and downstairs. The whole area downstairs is cooled by air-con. Upstairs is divided into two large rooms, one room (far end) will be close to outdoor temperatures as cooled by fans, the other room (closest end to stairs) cooled by air-con. Air-con is a little chilly so it is recommended you bring a jacket. Very limited available electric sockets to recharge your devices, that intermittently work as is the norm in Penang. Mac Donalds may need to check the qualifications of the electricians who carried out the work at this branch. The same problems with the electric sockets can be experienced at Starbucks Gurney Plaza.

Overall just a passable experience - therefore only 3 stars. The lack of customers I feel is representative of lack of investment in making this restaurant a comfortable dining experience. Went to buy two happy meals and they give me two toys charge rm26 but when i ask how the happy meal charge up to rm26 he said its for two happy meals of sausage mcmuffin. I am a toy collector and i collected the mcdonald toys so i know very well what is included in the happy meal. the drinks for happy meal not provided. instead of giving me the drink from the happy meal package they charge the drink under mccafe. when i reach another counter to collect my food the lady told me i only order one happy meal. the rest is put under alacarte order but why give me two happy meals toys during payment? she asked for my receipt and close up the window to talk to another person. later she open up the window and ask me to shift my car further i said ok. after that she hand me two mccafe drinks and i know that there is something very wrong with the order. When i ask back the receipt she say she need it to check. i feel problem is at the guy at the cashier counter not the lady giving the food. overall the happy meal drink is not provided, instead of providing the happy meal drink they charge again for...
