Does not deserve any stars (picture attached to keep you away from a horrible stay) From after making the booking right to checked in and checked out. 0 out 100. 1st experience in a million. Check in/Receptionist- front desk so unfriendly and spoken in a very unmannerly way(indian lady, unnamed). Did not even give any greetings to me, even after I gave mine first, she did not greet me back. You can wear a face mask, but everyone can tell if you're smiling or not. By that, I was cranky already by the first impression. A front desk is the face of the hotel. Safety- Hotel lift, missing buttons, creaky sound Wonder if it's serviced or not. You can tell guest's safety is not their concern. Room- outside our door, welcomed with dirty linen stacked right next to our room (it was already 8pm and it's still there?) Inside is far worse, room is dusty. Bathroom- oh lord, molds everywhere!! Didn't even flush a rubbish they threw in there. Even toilet seat (you just can't miss or not notice to scrub the heavy dirt) Towels- stained heavily and visible brown stains. Minibar- not cold at all. Safebox- locked, they didn't even bother to unlocked it from the previous guest. Parking- rm15 per entry. Told the guy I parked here less than 10minutes and he nego and had us paid rm6 instead. Lol Hotel did not take any action regarding this complaint. (Traveloka had help taken care of it since it's close to midnight and since hotel didn't do anything yet.) Thinking of the room's condition, front office's attitude and safety, I decided to go back up and take my bags and leave. Still have yet to hear anything from the hotel's management regarding this. No courtesy to call to even apologize after an issue has been raised. This hotel failed at the most basic hospitality.

We had one of the worst stays ever in all our years of traveling. Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. We had money stolen from our room, and when we reported the issue to the front desk, the response was shockingly poor. The duty manager, who we believe is named Magat (photo attached), was incredibly unprofessional and took the matter very lightly. Despite informing them immediately, they showed little concern and were unwilling to take appropriate action. We were forced to go to the police to file a report. Even after handing over the report, the hotel refused to show us the CCTV footage, and it was only after the police arrived that the cameras were reviewed. Conveniently, the cameras on our floor were not working (we believe that they erased the footage in between) The reception staff and duty manager were not only unfriendly but also seemed clueless about how to handle such a serious situation. To make matters worse, Magat kept us waiting for over an hour while he attended to personal calls, further adding to our frustration. We ended up losing over $200 and had to cut our trip short because of this distressing incident. I strongly advise against booking this hotel if you value your safety and a pleasant stay. We would never recommend this place to anyone.

Spent a night in September 2020. The price was low on Booking.com on a Wednesday for a double bed but was given a twin room. The room was spacious with a mini bar and fridge, large study table and chair, a round settee with 2 lounge chairs. Window has no view though. Bathroom design was inconvenient with the open door blocking the toilet bowl. The door had to be closed to use the toilet. Toilet bidet water pressure was not strong enough. The shower was good but too much space that was unused. The sink was a huge bowl but without a counter top to place toiletries, though there was space all around the bowl. The hairdryer on the wall works fine. The towels were unexpectedly a little too thin for a large hotel. Only 2 small mineral water bottles were provided and there was no water dispenser in the corridor. Nice bedside lightings. Overall it was good value for money as it's below RM70.

booked this hotel just because the location is on georgetown. the location of the hotel is good, near to eating places. the room was just okay, a little bit old and simple, not even slippers or face tissue in the bedroom, but still acceptable. i wear my own slippers inside the room and bought face tissue from minimarket outside. but the most uncomfortable thing is the service of the front desk. i stayed two night at this hotel, at the first day i checkin, i see the breakfast takeaway service in the front desk and was very glad, because on the last day i need to checkout early and catch my flight at 8. i ask for the breakfast takeaway, but the front desk tell me to inform again tomorrow. afternoon of the second day, i tried to call the front desk from room, but no one answered. about 5/6pm of the day, when i was about to go out for dinner, i came to the front desk, and mention about the breakfast takeaway for the next day, and the girl front desk said she will confirm it. around 8pm when i was back from dinner, i tried to confirm the breakfast again with the girl front desk, she said we can directly ask the breakfast tomorrow with the restaurant side. early in the morning when i checkout at 6.15, i came to ask breakfast to the restaurant, he ask me to wait for 10 minutes to prepare. but after 10 minutes, i dont see the restaurant staff anywhere. thats when the man front desk reach to me and ask me, he said the breakfast will be ready at 7, he denied i came to order the breakfast by 5/6pm, snd keep on saying i order by 8, which i dont know what the problem of it, because i did order one day before, or two day before even when i first checkin. his attitude was very bad, not even an explanation, and he glare at me, as if i was very annoying. not even apologized for not prepare the breakfast on time, for not even say at first the breakfast will not ready, keep on letting me waiting. really, should have teach that man front desk how to service at hotel. i pay my breakfast for nothing, and even get a bad service. thanks...

Hi good day.

I came from all way from United Arab Emirates to Penang, Malaysia and was trying to get room, I was contemplating between options, this hotel Malaysia Hotel Sentral Georgetown @ City Centre.

I saw 5 ladies walking through the lobby and was greeted in the in the most, appalling way. Their entry to the hotel was rejected solely based and judged by their appearance as they looked as though they were transwomen, this gender discrimination at it best. And I guess no one should be welcomed or treated in such a way, I understood that those guest were travelling 6 hours to get to the hotel, I was about to get a hotel in room in this hotel, but after what I saw I changed my mind.

I have travelled to many luxuries hotel around the world and have not experience anything of this degree baring it is a 3 star hotel which is barely there. They were received by a lady called Latha, who claimed that she was the duty manager of the so called hotel. she wasn’t resourceful in handling the situation, her problem solving skills is zero, nor offered to help those ladies with other alternatives in terms of searching for another place to rest.

My reason for writing this letter is, if you don’t allow such women in these hotels you should have made it clear before their book was made. And, she was solely judging these ladies based on appearance, what right as a human does she have to lay them off the hotel just like that? This hotel has a lot to work on in terms of their customer service and how they render their services could be more efficient. I’m utterly disappointed at this uneducated, biased duty manager that you have appointed to be the front line of the hotel. who obviously not capable of doing her job a ‘duty manager”

And I will be writing this email to ACCP, Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA) Consumer Protection Act, 1999 (Act No. 599), Agoda Review, Google Review, this is not acceptable in every...
