Not Recommended – Poor Food and Service

I had a disappointing experience at this Korean Charcoal BBQ Buffet, also known as Pinang Sae Meul.

I ordered the BBQ set that came with beef and octopus, but the rice never arrived. The staff said it wasn’t ready yet, and I ended up waiting over 30 minutes. Even after that, the rice still didn’t come, so I had to settle for the side dishes, which thankfully included salad, egg, and sausage—just enough to fill me up.

We also ordered bibimbap, but it was overwhelmingly seasoned. The sauce overpowered everything—vegetables, egg—none of the original ingredients could be tasted. It was extremely sweet and honestly unpleasant. I’ve never had bibimbap this bad before.

The jjampong we ordered tasted like instant noodles—not enjoyable at all.

We also ordered two drinks, and neither of them arrived even by the time we finished eating.

Communication was another issue. The staff couldn’t speak Malay or English fluently, which made it really hard to ask questions or get assistance.

This is a place i must give 5 star review!! My first visit to here,from the beginning we enter,all the foreign workers serve us to place warm and politely.

They help put cushion on the seat for both my kids and helped carried my kids onto the seats seeing Im pregnant.Very kind gesture!

After that they offered to grill the meat for me seeing im with kids and the charcoal will be too hot.

I left my phone after the meal and the staff chased and returned me my phone.I am amazed by how well all the workers are trained and even their honesty!!

Food is considered cheap and nice,the original taste grilled pork taste just like the same I had in Korea.

Portion is so big given the price Im very satisfied!I am a meat lover and I can't even finished the Rm75 set.

BOSS,PLS GIVE YOUR STAFF A RAISE AND TREAT THEM WELL.THEY REALLY TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMER. THEIR SERVICE IS BETTER THAN SOME LOCAL WORKERS!

I trust that many of us preferred superb service with average food rather than superb food with bad service.

Checking out this Korean buffet place and was pretty impressed in the end. I think when I went to this place, it was after lunch peak hours so there weren't many customers around so we got the luxury of having the waiter serving and helping us to grill the meat. And it was so so good and overall I felt very worth it since it is all you can eat. Only problem I remember is the smoke from grilling was a lot and also the heat. I think you can also order some other ala carte dish but for me, since I am paying for buffet, basically I just whack all the meat I can eat 🤣

P/S: another issue I faced earlier is the workers are all foreigners and I really have trouble trying to communicate and getting my orders. I don't think they speak any of our local language well at all (eg Bahasa or English). So initially I was actually quite frustrated about this but like I said, felt very satisfied in the end since the overall...
