Wooi Beef Koay Teow Soup / Rice — Restaurant in George Town

This humble little restaurant houses probably what is one of the best beef noodles in Penang. It's not a very big dining area as there are roughly about 7 to 8 tables inside.

Located along Seang Tek Road, it's not easy to find parking here, but keep trying and something will definitely turn up. The store front has the stall with all the goodies there, and you can place your order for what you want.

If you're unsure of what to order, the proprietor manning the stall is more than happy to help you out, explaining what each variation of the dish can be included with. If you order "the works", then you're in for a treat with a bowl of flat rice noodles with beef slices and innards.

The broth is not as strong as some other places, but very flavourful. And each bite of the ingredients are really an explosion of taste in your mouth. Do inquire if the marrow is available too, as that is a special treat.

Prices can skyrocket if you order everything, so be aware of that. Otherwise, a normal bowl of beef noodles won't set you back at all.

Am a regular at this hidden gem, best beef soup / noodle you can find in Penang, sometimes it can be a little too salty though. This nutritious bowl of beef goodness consists of many different parts / variety and they are all well clean and fresh, not gamey. Broth is light and healthier too, not as heavily flavored. The eatery is clean too and I notice the cook washes his hands very frequently 😅. Hawthorn drink is also less sweet and highly recommended to help with digestions of the proteins in case...

Noodle: broth is flavorful though lacking in the strong beefyness. Very generous in portion and ingredients. Beef innards a bit overcooked though. Soy milk: homemade and good. You can ask for sugar free also. Bean sprout: just okay. Service: fantastic! The son is enthusiastic in serving customer and has a humorous attitude!

Yeah, I would go back since there aren't any significantly better...
