Md Salleh Restoran — Restaurant in Johor

This is probably one of the best roti canai I had ever eaten in JB in Taman Pelangi. I have passed this place so many times but never once gave it a thought until I discovered it on JB Foodie as top 10 roti canai places to eat when I googled it.

My wife and I ordered 2 roti kosong (RM2.80), 1 roti telur, lontong (RM7) and 2 teh tarik (kurang manis). The roti was fluffy and crispy eventhough I didn’t let them know I wanted it garing. The lontong was also awesome and I liked the sambal very much.

Oh wow! This place is gonna be my new breakfast spot. BTW, the total bill...

Ordered 1 plain 1 egg, beef rendang and nasi lemak ayam telur with teh terik. The nasi lemak ayam telur is not good at all. Tough chicken, salty chilli water, super salty ikan billis. Rice also not good. The beef rendang had too much sugar and very oily. Meat is tender though. The prata is so so. Nothing to rave about. In fact the plain prata had a very strong buttery taste that is too overpowering. The egg prata is common. Teh terik is made w tea steeped for too long. All in all, not worth the trip...

Food wise the roti is good. With the right choice of dhall, curry and even sambal. The even serves nasi lemak in the morning but the egg and sotong is overnight. Talk about lazy. The owner an elderly lady, her staff really need a lesson about customer service with a smile. Where has the good old days gone where the Malaysian hospitality gone. It is bad when you see the workers working...
