Terrible Experience – Do NOT Recommend Pelangi Capsule Hostel

My stay at Pelangi Capsule Hostel was extremely disappointing, and I strongly advise others to avoid it. Here are the main issues I encountered:

Poor hygiene: The bed linens appeared unchanged and unclean. The common areas had a bad odor, and the bathrooms were dirty and not properly maintained.

Broken and outdated facilities: The air conditioner was loud, the capsule doors were faulty, and there was no consistent hot water for showers.

No 24-hour staff or management: There is no one available at night in case of emergencies or issues. This made me feel unsafe and unsupported.

Unfriendly staff during working hours: Even during the day, the staff were indifferent and unhelpful. Basic questions were met with impatience.

Extremely noisy: The walls were paper-thin, and every sound from the hallway or neighboring capsules was clearly audible — it was hard to sleep.

Poor value for money: For the price, there are far better hostels nearby. This one felt neglected and unprofessional.

Hmm..This I walking to wrong 7 times in your location and stainless steel backlit sign customized haven’t show/find so difficult because of your business stainless steel backlit sign customized cannot to show.. this is stainless steel backlit sign customized only small in the stairwell..bed the below very dirty and not clean.. Ant many inside bed and bite my body and my head.I must know customer food inside bed when ant many coming in bed.Bed inside sweat.. but amazing and beautiful room bed.I vomit and don’t want to see the toilet because of customer didn’t click and don’t clean the toilet this poop and pee colour orange mix red like look period and fish smell.Them don’t want to himself clean/click the toilet..tables putting bottle and food so dirty because of ant bite my leg the tables. Customer don’t clean to lap tables himself/herself.your staff haven’t work in pelangi capsule hostel..hopefully your business have safe and 24 hour CCTV…I communicate you so...

Overall, good for price if you are looking for a place to stay with almost no AC, there are no owner during the night and no one to open the AC. With no AC, there are also lots of mosquito. You even can hear outside sound during the night, so don't expect to have comfortable night sleeping there. Also, not all capsule are in good condition. There's bed bug too.

PS: remember earlier when I said there are no owner during night? Yeah apparently, if people come during night, they were given the door key to enter the capsule which means theres no security for your belonging. I've lost a pair of Adidas there and I've heard some people even lost like 300 SGD. Guess what, the owner wont even compensate for any losses or damages during your stay there.
