Would give ZERO stars if possible. Classic example of a restaurant that made its name and then the service and attitude becomes absolutely atrocious simply because your business doesn’t matter that much anyway.

The restaurant was full except for a table near the outside and a few tables inside. We requested for a table inside (which, was not that big) because we have had bad experiences with people smoking just outside restaurants whereby the stench drifts inside.

Instead, auntie bosses arrogantly proclaimed that the inner tables for bigger groups and reserved for “placing soup”, and assured us that no such smoking problem would occur. Literally a minute after that, a smoker stepped outside the restaurant sure enough the stench wafted in. Although we raised this issue up, they scoffed at us and said there was no such problem.

The whole time and in a span of 3 minutes in the restaurant, we were asked multiple times to order. And that’s all they care about, even though we asked them to wait. We promptly got up and left, and would never return. Hope everyone thinks twice before deciding on this restaurant with horrendous and...

Went in a Monday evening. At 7pm, we got the last table but fish sold out, all veg except sweet potato leaves and bok choy were sold out. At 7.55pm overheard the kitchen say noodles sold out, everything sold out. Wow!

Taste wise, after trying all the other San Lou Bee Hoon restaurants which claim to be related to the original, this is the best. Smoky wok heat from the get go, it goes very well with the chilli sauce. The prawn paste chicken was quite ordinary. We wanted to order salted egg sotong but they only had the deep fried version. This one was surprisingly very well done. The garlic fried sweet potato leaves was nice but serving was too small. Sweet and sour ribs was also good.

Note: Serving of bee hoon is very small. Each large size plate of bee hoon may be enough for two to three persons only. And they don’t take reservations.

Total damage was only RM158 and even considering we had no seafood, it was quite affordable.

Definitely coming again but this time we will do lunch and not on Monday when they have not had a chance to replenish their ingredients after a...

2 pax. We arrived at 7:10pm and was assigned to the seat all the way behind. Placed an order with the waitress, drinks were served immediately. We ordered Bee Hoon, Salted egg fried squid and prawn paste chicken.

After waiting for 20 min and seeing how people who were behind our queue had their food served, I went to asked them when is my food arriving? The waiter then checked and said the waitress did not send the order in.

So we waited. About 5-10min, bee Hoon and fried squid was served.

Waited for another ten min, the last dish - prawn paste chicken was not served too so I told them to cancelled this dish.

Food taste and portion Bee Hoon was for 2 portion and there is only 2 pieces of prawns 🦐 Bee Hoon taste okay Salted egg fried squid taste nice too, came with salted egg bits too.

Price RM15 for two portion bee Hoon RM22 for Salted egg fried squid RM3 each for soft drinks and calamasi

Visit here if you have the time and patience to wait for the food, do expect delays in your order and it is better to check w them if the food didn’t arrive...

We were recommended to this place as alternative to San Low Seafood Restaurant. However, we left this place with great disappointment. They claimed to be the originator for San Low “Pancake” Bee Hoon since 1979, but it wasn’t as good as San Low Seafood Restaurant’s Signature Bee Hoon since there is no taste of “Wok Hei” at all. Likewise for the Fried Kway Teow, without taste of “Wok Hei”. The Signature Tofu was mediocre too which was bland and nothing unusual. The only thing that was good was the Marmite Pork Ribs. We paid almost RM50 for what we ordered for two of us with two glasses of Chinese Tea. It was pricey and not worth at all since the food quality is not up to our expectation. There is no price stated in the menu, hence they could charge arbitrarily as they like. Last but not least, some of the servers were rather rude and impolite too. This is probably our last visit to this eatery.

Tried on 19/3/21. San lou meehoon (三樓米粉)is their signature dish. Ordered marmite pork rib & bitter gourd with salted egg as well. Overall their dishes are nice. Worth to try. San lou meehoon fried till very dry & with little bit crispy texture and it does smell good when the moment serve on the table. Marmite pork rib is nice and bittergourd with salted egg is more healthy where I find not oily due to they are stir fried with salted egg & egg instead of deep fried the bittergourd. Ordered their teow cheow pumpkin yam paste for the dessert. Yam paste are very smooth but find that a bit too wet & soft but overall still not too bad one if you are a dessert lover. This dessert only come in one size where no smaller size. Ao, good for sharing only. A restaurant that worth a visit.

Hit and miss. For the 三楼米粉 price at 11rm, I would give a 5*, not the best I have tried, but for the price and taste, we'll worth it, there is wok hey, some crispness for the mee hoon, and a variety of ingredients like chicken, shrimp, egg. For the salted sotong, I give 2*, a disappointment, although the batter is fried to crispy but is too thick, and suspect heavily use of MSG, is salty but doesn't taste like natural salt, has distinct MSG overdose taste, sotong itself is pathetically thin and tasteless, I think this is from frozen, for 30rm although potion is big, but definitely not my liking. Gave a 4* with benefit of doubt I only tried 2 items and the Chinese tea at 1.30rm per glass is quite good, tea aroma and not bitter, good to wash off greasy food.
