1 Person Set = RM12.00 No Service Charge
This was a Very Quaint Rustic Non-Air Conditioned Very Kampung Styled Old-School Eatery. Really looks very Kampung-Styled with its somewhat Makeshift Looking Zinc Roofs and everything. Its so Rustic that even their Main Signboard 店招牌 looks like it's printed on a Home Printer. This Place also seems to be Popular as there were quite alot of Customers when I was here at around 1.30pm on a Saturday. They are also probably Locals because I don't see any Singapore Cars parked anywhere.
One thing you do need to take note is that the Whole Place is a Smoking Zone. Customers will light up and smoke in here openly, so don't be surprised if someone at your Next Table decide to Smoke. This is something you need to take note of if this bothers you.
Anyway the Serving Staffs are mostly Thai? Myanmar? Folks although the Main Cook at the Front Ordering/Cooking Station is a Friendly Young Malaysian Chinese Lad. Everyone are Friendly and Polite and mostly keep to themselves.
As usual, I dissected and counted every Ingredient in this Set. This 1 Person Solo KTK Set comes with:
1 Bowl of KTK Kway Teow 3 Thick Pieces of Taupok 9 Thin Slices of Braised Pork Belly 8 Small Cuts of Intestines 1 Small Braised Egg cut in Quarters
Due to Text Limit Constraints, I won't go into details describing every Ingredient here. If you are interested to know more, come visit my Facebook Food Blog: "A Solo Singaporean's Guide to JB Foods (And More!)" to view the Full Review with Photos.
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM12.00 (S$3.60) is a Reasonable Price for what this is. While mostly maintaining the Usual Formula you'd come to expect from KTK, there are certain elements that differentiates itself among the rest such as a More Unique Braised Taste for the KTK Broth.
I'm impressed with that Herbly Braised Soup Broth that was offered to me. Although not Super Amazing, I thought it was Decent. The Staffs are Very Friendly and I have No Issues with the Customer Service. I was most impressed when I didn't even need to ask for my Usual Order and they already predicted correctly what I wanted. Although obviously its not Fully 100% of what they offer, it was still a Decent Mix.
The Only Issue I have for this Place is that the Whole Place is an Open Smoking Zone. Even as a Former Smoker myself, I was admittedly a tad miffed when I had someone near to me just light up and puff away while I was eating. If this is something that bothers you, you might want to take note if you decide to dine in here. I wished they set up a Seperate Smoking Zone for Smokers.
Overall though, I still enjoyed my time here. The Eatery itself is a Big Attraction because a Very Old School Kampung-Styled Eatery like this is practically Non-Existent in Singapore. So to be able to eat KTK in such a Quaint Rustic Location was still a Treat for me.

Read more27/03/2019 Now runs by the 2nd generation. The standard maintained and still the same delicious as before.
This is one of the food stall that you must visit if you are traveling to Johor Bahru. You can find something similar in Singapore & Penang but this is not so heavy taste of herbs, not so oily and taste just nice.
The stall is running by the 2nd generation now, the old boss still stay around but the cooking was handover to his son.
We love the egg, intestine, pork, beancurd, the kuey teow and the soup. Their chili sauce goes well with the dishes, we will normally add a few drops of thick soya sauce into the chili sauce to make it better taste.
Please expect long queue and waiting for table/ seats. It will be hot and not so comfortable as it is a road site food stall.
The young boss is very enthusiastic on their dishes and you can tell it in his dishes. Thumbs up and we...
Read moreProbably 1 of the best and cheapest kway teow kia in JB. Recommended by many friends and grab drivers. Normally pointing this place out when passing by Stulang area. Finally decided to try it out myself. Order came up to RM27.8 for 2pax. Very good portion. The soup is herbalicious and fragrant with shallot oil, delicious indeed. Pig organs did not have any smell. The meat is a must-order, super tender and well-balanced in fats and meat. Last but not least, the chilli that was provided is superb. Complimented the ingredients and even mixes well with the kway soup.
Stall is slightly hidden even though it is located very near the main road. It is on your right, right after turning into jalan pandan.
It gets hot during the day but fans and coolers are provided to keep you cool.
Will definitely be heading...
