Hotel Sin Jo Sdn. Bhd. — Hotel in Johor

Other than being quite near to a lot of food place within walkable distance, this room 104 is totally obscene.

We were told by front desk my booking was not received thus not enough room, and that luckily he still does keep one spare room.

Just as I thought all rooms are same and couldn’t differ much from previous good reviews, I was wrong.

Room was just beside cleaner’s storage which mop pail sweep and dirty bedsheets were dump beside the room. Upon entering whole room was overbearingly smelling of mothball. Toilet was not clean up, with cobwebs that felt like years of spinning from spiders, hair on basin n shower, and dripping shower head, it really feels like either this is a staff room or someone had use this room for an hour or two and left unclean. Further into night we found holes on bedsheet and on blanket. Towels were badly stained. Room was with stains n dust. We can’t get to sleep as the mothball smell is overbearing. And our head was itching after lying on pillow. Day after, we realised we were smoked mothball, so bad that our hair smell of it.

I mean, there’s better way to make room smells good right? Hope owner look into this, don’t waste a good...

Although the staff was friendly and well-spoken, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to several issues, despite its fair pricing. The elevator area is unsafe, with uneven flooring near the staircase, posing a risk to elderly guests or those not paying close attention. The room cleanliness was disappointing, with visible dust on the bed, stained sheets, and even bloodstains. The bathroom lacked basic essentials, providing only body shampoo but no hair shampoo. The floor had cracks, which could easily lead to injury if not careful. The air conditioning was quiet and consistent, but the exterior was dusty. The room itself was small with limited space. Nighttime was noisy, as the hotel is close to restaurants that stay open late. For the price paid, I would give the place five stars. I did not encounter any stained sheets or pillows as mentioned by other reviewers. At check in, I was given the option of being on the first floor or an upper floor. Thereafter, you're handed a ziplocked bag of the TV remote and air con remote. There's supposed to be a card with the Wifi password behind. Upon entering the room, there is a bit of stench but I can't quite place it but you get used to it.
