The service lost a star from me because of the boss lolll!!! I came here after seeing a 4.8 rating, near my hotel and I’m a lala craze fan! 😆 Was very surprise on a Saturday night 7pm dining time, the restaurant was empty. Yes, total empty. I saw this guy alone seated far from me having his meal, and I thought he was solo traveller like me aging his dinner.
Malay staff was friendly and prompt- gave me recommendations as well as I can’t over order for one- was v helpful. Thank u. I ordered the signature lala soup, a dark noodle and a fermented fried pork belly. I it say, I enjoyed the lala soup v much. The small size order is good for one and the lala were very fresh and plump. The noodles were good but could be less oily. The pork is about dry but was compensated with the heavenly ‘chicken rice’ chill sauce that came with it.
The decor is tasteful and ventilation is good. Ok back to the boss, it was soon later I saw him finished his dinner and went into the counter then step out for a smoke. As he walked pass my table, he kinda nodded with an awkward smile.
I thought: since I am the ONLY customer in his shop. I thought he would at least pop over, smile and check with me how was the food for me. If his staff can do it well, he should do it better. These days, service play a great part for returning customers too. I am not saying you need to be like HDL (that I find the service overwhelming) but small touches will make a diff.
I wish this shop would thrive as I wanna be back for good food. In compared to the lala claypot I had- this is a better environment, reasonably priced and aircon great environment which wins! Hope my...
Read moreOne Bowl Noodle is a hidden gem that is recently opened. It impresses me with its excellent food, caring customer service, and inviting minimalistic ambience.
The star of the show, the imperial concubine chicken, is a must-try dish.
It's not only very tasty but also comes with a unique twist - custom-made wine contained in the soup, adding a depth of flavor that sets it apart.
Another standout dish is the preserved vegetable minced pork and pork sliced porridge.
Unlike many places where porridge can be too mushy, here it's just right - with the perfect texture that brings back nostalgic memories of grandma's cooking.
The fragrant salted fried meatball is another winner, with a delightful aroma that hints at a blend of spices that will leave you wanting more.
Aside from the delicious food, the customer service at One Bowl Noodle is exceptional.
The staff are attentive and caring, making sure every diner feels welcome and satisfied.
The minimalistic ambience adds to the overall experience, providing a peaceful and comfortable environment to enjoy your meal.
Overall, I would give One Bowl Noodle cafe a 5/5 star rating. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming...

I had the Tom Yum mixed pork with rice set, and I must say, it’s one of the best Tom Yum dishes I’ve ever had! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with each layer blending together beautifully. The fried pork (南卤炸肉) was a pleasant surprise—crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
The highlight for me was the lala clam claypot. The owner uses cooking wine to prepare the clams, which adds a delicious depth of flavor. The clams were incredibly fresh, and you can really taste the quality.
The porridge was also outstanding, probably the best I've ever had. They are very generous with the portion of meat, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared.
Overall, this place exceeded my expectations with the quality, taste, and freshness of every dish. Highly recommended!
Hospitality: 5.0/5.0 The owner has to be one of the most passionate restauranteur I've ever seen in my life. He welcomes every diner enthusiastically and is honest with his food. The restaurant is extremely comfy and well decorated, making the ambience...
