Excellent food. Was recommended by someone for thenga paal appam. First the environment was really clean and very inviting. Excellent service by the staff. We ordered 1 chicken briyani, 1 chicken kothu parotta, 1 onion thosai and 1 set thenga paal appam, chicken perettal and mutton perettal first. But the moment 1 by 1 went into our mouth, wow!! the food tasted so delicious, we continued ordering 2 more sets of thenga paal appam, 1 ghee thosai , the ghee thosai was so pretty, looked exactly like the street thosai in India in the movies, eg. Minnale movie when madhavan took reema sen to eat. and then felt like never enough, and ordered 1 more ghee thosai and 1 more meehoon goreng and they kept giving us more and more delicious ones. Our stomach almost bursted and we couldnt stop ordering. Coz every new dish we ordered pushed us to order more and more. We are fixed with this restaurant for life. Never going to another restaurant anymore. Hope they will grow and keep the standard at this level. Oh ya the bru coffee with fresh milk must say tasted like the ones in India. Overall jb makkale you must try this place. And other makkale from all over malaysia and oversea and singapore. Once you try it , next time you will definitely make a trip to jb just to eat here. The food at this restaurant is, unfortunately, among the worst we've experienced in Johor Bahru. From the vegetables to the rasam, everything was bland and tasteless. No amount of MSG can salvage the flavor. On top of that, the hygiene is clearly lacking. My wife, who rarely experiences issues at other restaurants, had an upset stomach after dining here.

I initially didn't plan to leave such a detailed review, but the owner's unprofessional response to my previous feedback left me no choice. Instead of addressing the criticism constructively, such as offering an apology or a commitment to improve, the owner chose to suggest we "get a medical test." This level of dismissiveness and lack of accountability is shocking.

Many restaurants respond to feedback with professionalism and humility, but this establishment's management has demonstrated neither. Serving unhygienic food and failing to handle customer concerns appropriately is completely unacceptable. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values good food, hygiene, or respectful...

Water was not clean found dirt when complaint to the shop person, don’t have manner and didn’t ask sorry also instead of it do argue an giving reasons that it may cause filter or just tea leave. Actually what happened was, first I ordered glass of water and i drink it ready more than half of glass after that only i noticed the dirt so i ordered second glass of water to double check then found same dirt then i called and complaint to the shop guy and informed him that there is dirt in water and i already drank one glass of water so to confirm i ordered second glass and found same dirt, and asked why ur waters so dirty then that shop guy being attitude argued and justify not even ready to ask sorry or talk politely.
