Alright, folks, listen up! Donkey and I had heard so much buzz about 串哥哥 broloklok on Google and TikTok, and we finally decided to check it out. It's clear why this place is so popular—it was packed! We initially tried to grab a table outside, but I found a cozy spot inside the air-conditioned dining area, and we happily moved our table.
What We Loved:
• The Atmosphere: Even though it was a busy Saturday night, the atmosphere was cool and comfortable. The place has a vibrant energy with both indoor and outdoor seating options, and the entire street was buzzing with people enjoying the lolok experience.
• The Skewers: They have a huge selection of skewers, offering everything from classic "Ori" skewers to unique options like the "Yellow" skewers (which are worth the extra cost!). We sampled a variety of skewers, including the Black, Blue, Green, Red, and Ori, and each one was cooked perfectly. The flavor combinations were fantastic, and the textures were just right.
• The Sauces and Chili: The sauces and chili options are definitely a highlight. They have a wide variety to choose from, and they're all free-flow. We loved trying different combinations, finding the perfect balance of spice and tanginess.
• The Service: The service was incredible too. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they managed to serve us our food quickly despite the long lines.
• The Value: The prices were also very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food.
Donkey’s Take: The skewers were so good! I especially loved the Yellow ones.
My Take: loved the variety of sauces and chili. You can really customize your meal.

Read moreThis is a tough review... Wanted to give it a 5 stars but some of the food can still be improved.
I came her at almost 2am and to my pleasant surprise, they are still very much opened for biz. The crowd was really good with Jay chou music at the background for 2 nights in a row (luckily I do appreciate his songs).
The selections of Lok lok was fantastic and surely u can find something u like. This itself shd deserve a 5 stars. Over 2 nights, I had the mantou with choc, chicken wings, bak kwa, lup cheong, pork belly and many more! But their prawns skewers were quite fresh and OMG... Only 1rm each! Still, my fave has to be their crayfish... It's 5rm per stick but it's the first time I had it with Lok lok and its soooo nice! Yummy! Crispy on the outside and tender and prawny bite to it.
The disappointing stuffs were the tau Kee, and the tau pok. Both were not fried well enough to be really crispy And also... They only have the boil and fried version. No grill... Some of the food would have been better with grill.
Beers were available too at decent prices (beward of road blocks just outside that road) with their indoor Aircon seating serving non alcoholic drinks.
It was also interesting there's a non-wanton Mee beside their stall (same owner), selling wanton Mee without wantons! Noodles were good too but I love the soup most.
Will be back here for sure...but becoz of some of the food, really find it hard to give a 5 stars. So a pretty solid...
