This is a small restaurant serving Thai styled soup bases with Lala. This restaurant was recommended by a Malaysian friend, so I decided to give it a try.

We ordered the Clear Tomyam Clam soup base. Also ordered a variety of ingredients, including pork shoulder meat, chicken meat with egg, and vegetables. We took advantage of a 50 percent discount on small abalone and purchased a plate.

The Clear Tomyam Clam soup base was really delightful with really rich taste. And the taste will just get richer with the ingredients added in. The clams were really fresh as well. In the end, we ordered another kg of clams. Service was really good and fast as well. The staff will come periodically to refill the soup and also use a metal sheet to cover the claypot so we will not feel the heat. Will recommend anyone to try this lala...

I was searching for a lalapot near KSL after the Monday night market and I saw the nearest is this shop or the other six storey lalapot, decided to go for this as never tried tomyum lalapot before.

Wow, definitely like one of the reviewer said, no need to go very far off away from JB centre like Mt Auston or Permas for lalapot.

Soup no MSG as advertised (confirmed after few hours and next day no parched throat/thirsty.

Food was fresh and value for money with quite big portion compared to the other famous joints. The clear tomyum soup was very authentic thai taste not using paste type similar to what I have in Thailand.

Service was impeccable but at that timing around 9plus was not so crowded. Very proactive service which is rare to find in this area.

Will most definitely come back and introduce to my...

Second time visit : 5 ⭐️ turn 2 🚫 The staffs are good and attentive as always but this time the lala is not fresh and so much mud!!! The whole soup became so muddy then we couldn’t eat.

I always go to mt.austin for lala. And this is such a great find nearer to CIQ. Food was on point. Environment is clean and good. Indoor and not hot which we appreciate. Lala is fresh and price is affordable. If you are looking for the taste like mt.austin but very far to go, this is the one for you. I'm sure I'll be coming back. Went on Friday around 7pm....

My new favourite lala pot in JB. Lalas were fresh and big, I went for the classic broth, very umami. Liked that they cooked the pot outside so the oil doesn’t splatter all over the table and our clothes. Sauces are great too esp the Thai chilis and the fried shallots. You can help yourself to cooking wine to give the soup more XO taste. Service is very attentive, the staff kept topping up our soup and clearing our dirty plates. It’s closer to JB Sentral so easier to get to than the other famous ones. Just copy and use the Google map address for Grab
