Ice cold beer with broken glass shreds !
I've ordered a beer from Uncle Don's (Taman Pelangi Johor Bahru) on 23 March 2023. It was around afternoon 2.30pm, I was having some beer with my friend. After taking my third glass I felt something weird enter on my throat. Little did I know it was a piece of glass in my mouth from the chipped beer mug. Immediately I've called the waiter to inform and she notified the person in charge. After 15 to 20 min later the person in charge came and told to proceed with medical checks and to file police report for safety reason also he promised to bear the full cost of medical and then claim reimbursement. I went to nearest hospital (Columbia Asia Johor) to do a medical check up. I return back to Uncle Don's with my medical bills the person in charge, refused to pay. He mentioned there is nothing much to do with X-ray report and medical bills regarding the mention incident above.
Apparently, small pieces can pass through without any problem and it can't be seen in the X-ray. The doctor who checked me at the Hospital did mention its hard to see the glass pieces in X-ray. Im worried if any internal injuries may caused or internal damage might happen later. I have a family depends on me. The person in charge didn't keep up with his words and finding his way to be out of the situation. A warning need to be given to Uncle Don's Management for such a poor and dangerous service, as they failed to check on thier products and items which they serve to their customers. Wonder this is how they treat all their customers just for money!!! Im terrified with such a service and it cost my health.
I would like to get my claims paid as soon as possible. Its such a hassle to make my way in and out. Im not staying in malaysia to get follow ups whenever they are free. Please Consider customers and value them. Keep up...
Read moreBeen here for dinner on the 29th of july 2024. Man is the food bad. My wife and myself ordered a side order coslaw, its lesser than the coslaw thats in a kfc small pack i believe. Then our mushroom soup came, asked for salt and pepper and the waitress dosent understand both english and malay. Consuming our soup half way, another waiteress wanted to clear our soup out of no where. Then our main dish came, i ordered the lamp chop and what ugly plating and bad cooking and bad in anywhere possible. The lamp chop was 80% bones and it was charred to 80% as well. The side vege is doused in a weird red sauce and it look like a crime sence of vegetable massacare. Thr mushroom sauce that came with my lamp chop is corned starched to like semi jelly and no taste what so ever. My wife got the aloha chicken and the breading on the chicken was soggy and very red. The fries where all red as well. And the side vege was like lettuce with soya sauce. I have eaten at quite a fair share of places in my life time but man, is this among the top worst places i have ever eaten. Will not come back again and even if someone pays me, i wont be dinning here at all. And also, the self proclaimed home made tomato sauce. Wanted to try it, popped the bottle open and the cap went flying off and sauce started ozzing out. Im guessing it has been cooking out in room temp till the tomato paste is half fermented, cause co2 to build in the bottle and upon me opening it, an explosion of home made goodness. Man, how bad can bad be. Uncle...
Read moreGreat atmosphere and super chill Vibes! Food was a big portion and really tasty!! Love the variety for western and malay food too! The drinks were super on point and great to have (both sweet and alcoholic drinks)
Overall, great place to hang with friends and other adults! Not so great for kids unless adults refrain from drinking too much or come during the day rather than at night. More seats then too!
For improvement: toilets could be more regularly cleaned as there is a big stench throughout and for the sake of safety "accidents" could occur with the fact that the male and female toilets are through the same door. That's quote dangerous especially at night if it is super crowded and a single male/female accidentally meet at the toilet etc. (Whom are strangers) so for the sake of customer safety and satisfaction - this could be something the company could look into.
Price point is definitely on the pricier side as most western restaurants are. But the take away price point for packaging is way too high. 1.30ringgit for 1 cup including the original price of a drink 10 ringgit.... is too much. Even if I package away a box of rice the add on at most is also 50-80 cents only. This is too insane. Not sure if its discrimination against singaporeans or Chinese people or just outright stingy of the business to charge so high for packaging only (cause you guys want people to dine in etc)
This is something to note if you wanna buy takeaway. Service could be better but...
