I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hadramawt Restaurant and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that immediately made me feel at home.
The menu at Hadramawt Restaurant is a true culinary delight. Offering a wide range of authentic Yemeni dishes, each one is prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. The flavors are rich, aromatic, and truly transport you to the heart of Yemen. Whether you're a fan of traditional lamb dishes, succulent chicken, or flavorful vegetarian options, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
One standout dish that I highly recommend is the Mandi. The tender, slow-cooked meat is perfectly seasoned and served with fragrant rice that is cooked to perfection. The combination of flavors is simply divine and leaves you craving for more. Another must-try is the Zurbian, a flavorful rice dish with tender chicken or lamb, cooked in a blend of spices that create a symphony of taste in every bite.
The service at Hadramawt Restaurant is impeccable. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They are more than happy to provide recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. The wait time for food is minimal, and each dish is served piping hot, adding to the overall satisfaction of the meal.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a touch of traditional Yemeni elements that add to the overall charm. The seating is comfortable, and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it an ideal place for a family dinner, a romantic date night, or even a casual get-together with friends.
In addition to the fantastic food and service, the prices at Hadramawt Restaurant are incredibly reasonable. You get generous portions of delicious food without breaking the bank, making it a great value for money.
Overall, I cannot recommend Hadramawt Restaurant enough. It is a hidden gem that offers an authentic Yemeni dining experience. From the delectable food to the warm hospitality, every aspect of this restaurant is top-notch. Whether you're a fan of Yemeni cuisine or looking to try something new, Hadramawt Restaurant is...
Read moreI visited this restaurant yesterday for dinner with my family. I had high expectations based on the reviews, but my experience was disappointing.
The service was extremely slow, and the staff seemed inattentive. To make matters worse, one of the waiters was extremely rude. After finishing our meal, an Egyptian waiter came to clear our table. We decided to share some feedback about the food and service. When we said, "The food is not of good quality and needs improvement," he responded angrily, saying, "YES, THE FOOD IS DISAPPOINTING." His tone was unprofessional and unwelcoming.
Additionally, the restaurant appeared to be stingy with its portions. For example, we ordered the Mix BBQ Grill, which was supposed to come with BBQ tomatoes and onions. However, we were served only a quarter of a tomato, and the onions were missing entirely. When we asked for onions, we were told they didn’t have any, despite seeing uncooked onions served as a side with the Mix Grill. When we requested more BBQ tomatoes, we were again served only a quarter of one.
When it was time to pay, the cashier—who happened to be the same rude waiter—handed me the bill with an angry demeanor and even slammed it on the counter. Despite this, I stayed calm, as I didn’t want to ruin the vacation with my family further.
On a positive note, the restaurant allowed us to bring in soft drinks from outside, as they didn’t have Coca-Cola. They even provided us with ice, which was a nice gesture.
Thank you for considering this feedback. I hope the management will take steps to improve their service and...
Read moreHonestly, very average place. Did not even want to write this review but had to give an honest review vs the several 5 star reviews so people can make their own judgement.
Firstly, the reason they have so many 5 star reviews is because they offer a free dessert if you give a 5 star review while eating. So most 5 star reviews given will have been for this.
The food. Average. Nothing bad but nothing great.
Portion sizes are a obviously designed to give us less meat. Huge pile of rice, small portion of meat. Beef shawarma with rice came with a laughable amount of meat. Only the lamb kebab was ok portion but even then you can tell they have made them smaller than usual. Prices remain for normal portions.
Baba ghanoush came in typical clay dish, but the thinnest layer of baba ghanoush you have ever seen in your life. Given the price you pay for it, really surprising.
Then the service - disinterested, slow, unbothered.
Chicken shawarma wrap we ordered came way after all the main meals came out. Another table (who ordered ten minutes after us) received their food before our chicken shawarma arrived.
Two drinks, iced milo and mango juice took 20 minutes to come out, came as our main meals came out.
Stacked all the plates up (something I like to do), not even a reaction from the four waiters to realise it’s time to clear the table. Had to actually say we are done even though they clearly saw me...
