What a disappointing morning.
Came to this kopitiam to savor the legendary Nasi Lemak that has relocated here from the famous Chong Kok Kopitiam. Rumour has it that they have parted different ways due to irreconcilable differences.
First impression, the queue for the Nasi Lemak is a lot shorter than it used to be in Chong Kok. Taste is still what it used to be from my last visit.
The kopitiam though is small, stuffy with space not properly utilised.
Stalls in the shop and a cashier cabin takes a good portion of usable space.
The coffee is not great, and bitter, while toasted bread wasnt great. A simple order wasnt followed where we asked for toasted with butter and kaya but instead was served with margerine instead. We reminded them three times.
The waiters was not attentive and was not keen in doing their job. A young lady who is presumably the person incharge coordinated the cleaning and order taking.
The overall experience is poor, will not return to dine in.
Its sad to see that this legendary Nasi Lemak to be in this state, could it be the start of...

Malay stall owners and malay shop owner (I assume). Something different as you get the chinese hawker vibe. Similar concept as to the chinese hawker stall. Checking the reviews before this, I never noticed anyone mentioning this before.
Food wise was mostly chinese food with some stall selling malay food and kuihs. Food was okay. Did not tried the nasi lemak, read that that was the main attraction here. Drinks were also just okay. Price wise was standard as comparable to other hawkers...

Now this nasi lemak stall is located at Family Kopitiam and the taste is just like old times. Try the chicken rendang and sambal sotong. Every bite is a smorgasbord of spices and flavours. Wash it down with a nice glass of...
