If you are looking for modest clothing, printed tshirts, kids clothing/toys, denim and jewellery at a good price this shopping centre is a good place to shop. Customer service counter extremely wonderful and helpful. The security outside as well (I was lost and asked for directions - better to get here by grab or hang tuah MRT not pudu KTM like Google maps might suggest as that route is a bit isolated. Multiple levels of stores, may be a bit overwhelming but great if you have time and like variety (like other reviewers have mentioned, better to start from the top and work your way down - prices are a bit better due to the lower foot traffic). Although English isn’t 100% spoken, shop owners are very friendly and eager to help. Unfortunately the only negative experience I had was at the kids clothing store near the toilets on level 3. Do not go there, especially if you’re a tourist, unless you want to be scammed. The Chinese woman told me extremely inflated prices for Malaysian standards (she knew I was from Australia). After l found a few items for my niece and nephews, I negotiated for a more fair price which immediately angered her and she rudely said I was wasting her time. She said this with a condescending smile after saying she knows I can afford it because she studied a year in Brisbane (this doesn’t give her a right to overcharge a paying customer - while I am fine to help a struggling business when I travel, especially if the country may have lower working wages, I was extremely put off by the attitude and principle. She then gave me a lecture with her thick Chinese accent and spoke in an accusational tone that the ‘consumer cannot decide the price’ despite there being no prices listed on any items to begin with. I spoke politely and respectfully the entire time. Unprofessional and distasteful conduct of business. They also have a sister shop close by. I have been in Malaysia for two weeks and it was the first time I met anyone who was so rude, disappointing. Spend your...
Read moreFrom the distance this huge white building was a delight of certain intriguing attraction but once you're there you wonder what a cheapie it turns out to be. Floors and floors of cost next to nothing types of clothing are on sale. Almost all these shops are selling identical products which you can find in almost every night market or better known locally as 'pasar malam' , the only contrasting factor to differentiate these easy on the pocket, low-priced outlets are the lowered to nominal under garments. No fancy or branded leather products the likes of Prada, Gucci or Versace can be found here. The entire building sells product meant for the lower to middle income group and surprising or not this place looks more blended for our Muslim friends. You will finds heaps and heaps of Malay ready made costume and lady wears. A few eatery on the lower floor and a food court on the upper floor. No doubt I fancy Malay food but not here since just about every food outlet is run by either a Bangladeshi or an Indonesian. Can you image a Bangladeshi serving Thai cooking or an Indonesian serving a hot plate noodle Chinese style. Boy was I sweating looking at the mixed up cookery and on the verge of a Bangla/Indon fusion serving in the heart of the City. I virtually was a little lost in within my own backyard. Come to think of it it was a misadventure in the first instinct and landing in the Sun instead of the Moon. Boy, no regrets but a little sore........ off I go to another hunting ground to live...
